Answer: A. 2KClO_3\rightarrow 2KCl+3O_2

B. 2.5\times N molecules of product.

Explanation:

According to the law of conservation of mass, mass can neither be created nor be destroyed. Thus the mass of products has to be equal to the mass of reactants. The number of atoms of each element has to be same on reactant and product side. Thus chemical equations are balanced.

A. The balanced reaction for decomposition of potassium chlorate is:

2KClO_3\rightarrow 2KCl+3O_2

B. According to avogadro's law, 1 mole of every substance occupies 22.4 L at NTP, weighs equal to the molecular mass and contains avogadro's number 6.023\times 10^{23} of particles.

According to stoichiometry :

2 moles of reactant give 5 moles of products

Thus 2\times 6.023\times 10^{23} molecules of reactant give 5\times 6.023\times 10^{23} molecules of product

Thus N molecules of reactant give=  \frac{5\times 6.023\times 10^{23}}{2\times 6.023\times 10^{23}}\times N=\frac{5}{2}\times N molecules of product.

Thus \frac{5}{2}\times N=2.5\times N molecules of product are there.

Jesse travels 3.0 meters east and then turns and travels 4.0 meters north. The trip requires 35 seconds. What is his velocity? 0
melisa1 [442]
Displacement = √(3² + 4²)
Displacement = 5 meters north east

Velocity = displacement / time
Velocity = 5 / 35
Velocity = 0.14 m/s northeast

During an endothermic phase change, what happens to potential energy and the kinetic energy
polet [3.4K]
During this phase Change heat energy is being absorbed by the molecules, and as a result the molecules possess a greater ability to move around and possess higher kinetic energy because of this. The molecules also possess a higher potential energy.

Use the virtual lab to prepare 150.0 ml of an iodine solution with a concentration of 0.06 g/ ml from the bottle of 0.12g/ml iod
son4ous [18]

Answer:

Explanation:

In 150 ml of .06 g / ml solution , gram of iodine = 150 x .06 g = 9 g

Let volume of given concentration of .12 g / ml required be V

In volume V , gram of iodine = V x .12 g

According to question

V x .12 = 9 g

V = 9 / .12 = 75 ml

So, 75 ml of .12 g/ml will be taken and it is diluted to the volume of 150 ml to get the solution of required concentration .
