Uri was raised in a Catholic family. He spends a year in China as part of a study abroad program. The longer he lives away from

his home, he begins to question his personal relationship to the Catholic church. As he learns more about himself and more about Buddhism, he realizes that the values of Buddhism are more in line with his own. He begins attending a weekly local Buddhist group and when he returns home he connects with a local group and becomes active. In terms of identity, what is this kind of exploration?

Answer:

The kind of exploration he is facing is identity foreclosure and identity achievement.

Explanation:

Identity foreclosure because this occurs when teenagers accept traditional values and cultural norms, rather than determining their own values. In other words, the person conforms to an identity, in this case, being part of the Buddhist group and changing his religion beliefs and identity achievement because this occurs when the person has solved his/her identity issues by making commitments to a new belief.

Write two to three sentences in which you compare and contrast the messages of the advertisement and the speech. include example
pshichka [43]

this is the sample response

Both the advertisement and the speech focus on industry work as vital to the war effort. However, the advertisement directly connects factory work to war victory through images and a concise message with key words, such as free and win. By contrast, the speech delivers this message by thanking workers in various American industries. It lists a variety of industries and speaks equally of the roles of men and women, whereas the advertisement focuses solely on men working in factories.

A trainer arranged for one of her employee training groups to see the video made from the book Effective Time Management, while
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

I would say that the best answer to the statement: The tests the trainer gave were intended to measure more than just recall of facts about the book, would be: False.

Explanation:

The example that we are shown here comes from situations that are given in a test that is known as the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Test, and they are intended to measure the capability that a person has to reason, and think critically.

In this case, we would say that the statement is false regarding the case in question, because the trainer issues the tests not to measure either the recall, or the abilities and concepts that the students acquired from the book, but she actually wanted to see if the video format of teaching was actually more efficient than the actual book. Given that this was her intention, to measure the video vs. the book, in achieving her final goal, which was acquirement of skills and concepts on Time Management, her test must have been geared towards that end, and not to simply measure the book´s impact. It was a bonus that afterwards she found that those students who were exposed to the video later on decided to read the book. Given the information on the case itself, we can reason that the answer is false.

11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

Hi, you haven't provided the options to the question. So I will just explain in my own words and you can check with the options.

Answer is: Mike feels MAKING AN IMPACT OR DIFFERENCE (also called SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP) is more important than the need to make money.

Explanation:

Some people start businesses to improve the quality of their life, others seek to work for themselves. But sometimes, the desire to use business as a means of creating positive change ignites an entrepreneurship spirit in one. This is called social entrepreneurship.

Social entrepreneurs are either non profits, or they blend for profit goals with generating a positive return to society.

For example, an organization that aims to provide housing and employment to the homeless may operate a restaurant, both to raise money and to provide employment for the homeless.

Therefore, the statement made by Mike; "I think we can go out and sell this product to the public and make a living but more importantly make an impact." Indicates that Mike feels MAKING AN IMPACT OR DIFFERENCE through SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP is more important than the need to make money.

Masja [62]

all of these questions can be asked

Explanation:

While some of these questions may need rephrasing they are reasonable to be asked by an interviewer as the first statement specifies the heavy physical needs of the job and the rest of the statements are appropriate for the job offered,

The candidate will need to prove their physical ability to handle the job and as such the questions can be reasonably asked of them if they are applying for a job with such heavy physical workload.
