Answer:

The price should be 25 dollars, with this price 50000 people will attend the game.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question we can build a table in which we compare the information taking into account the price of the ticket, the average number of people, the earnings for the sale of the tickets and the earnings of the sales in the concessions and with this determine the maximize revenue that corresponds to the best options for the university so as you can see in the attachment.

  • To calculate the average people we subtract 10000 per each decrease in $5.
  • To calculate the earnings per sales we have to multiply the cost of the ticket by the number of average people
  • To calculate the earnings per concessions we have to multiply the spends in the concessions by the average people
  • To calculate the total earnings we have to add the earnings per sales with the earnings per concessions.

As you can see, the total earnings for ticket price of $25 and $20 are the same ($150,000) if we increase or decrease the price of the tickets, the total earnings will decrease, then we have to choose the best option.

For maintaining the security and the infrastructure, it will be better to have less people, then the most convenient option will be that in which 50,000 people attend to the game, and for this, the price will be of $25.

Then, the price should be 25 dollars, with this price 50000 people will attend the game.

A cube has side length a. The side lengths are decreased to 50% of their original size. Write an expression in simplest form for
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

  V = a³/8

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the original cube is the cube of the side length:

  V = a³

When the side length is reduced to half its former value, the new volume is ...

  V = (a/2)³ = a³/2³

  V = a³/8 . . . . volume of the new cube

The cubit is an ancient unit. Its length equals six palms. (A palm varies from 2.5 to 3.5 inches depending on the individual.) W
olasank [31]

Assuminhg the ark has a shoe-box (cuboid) shape it´s volume would be:

V_{cuboid}=lenght*width*height

We have this three measurements (l=300cubits;w=50cubits;h=30cubits)) and it can be as simple as replacing them in the equation and solving but they are in all in cubits. We will convert them to ft because the problem requires the answer in ft^{3}. In order to do this we will use the given equivalences:

1cubit=6palms\\1palm=3.10in

and another one:

1ft=12in

First we will convert from cubits to palms:

l=300cubits*\frac{6palms}{1cubit}=1800palms\\w=50cubits*\frac{6palms}{1cubit}=300palms\\h=30cubits*\frac{6palms}{1cubit}=180palms\\

now from palms to in:

l=1800palms*\frac{3.10in}{1palm}=5580in\\w=300palms*\frac{3.10in}{1palm}=930in\\h=180palms*\frac{3.10in}{1palm}=558in\\

now from in to ft:

l=5580in*\frac{1ft}{12in}=465ft\\w=930in*\frac{1ft}{12in}=77.5ft\\h=558in*\frac{1ft}{12in}=46.5ft

We can calculate the Volume now like this:

V_{ark}=465ft*77.5ft*46.5ft=1675743.75ft^{3}

The volume of trhe ark would be 1675743.75ft^{3}

A rope is 66 feet long. It is cut into two pieces such that one piece is half the length of the other. What is the length of the
dedylja [7]
So if one bit of the length, is half the size of the other bit then we can make the following equation, for x being the length of rope:

x + 2x = 66
3x = 66
x = 22

That is the length, of the smaller one (half the big one), so 2x = 44. Hence d) is your answer.

Hope I helped!

b) the even integers set A is countably infinite.

   one-to-one correspondence with the set of positive integers:

   f: Z+ → A, f(n) = 2n

c) the integers less than 100 set A is countably infinite.

   one-to-one correspondence with the set of positive integers:

   f: Z+ → A, f(n) = 100 - n

d) the real numbers between 0 and 12 set A is uncountable.

e) the positive integers less than 1,000,000,000 set A is finite.

f) the integers that are multiples of 7 set A is countably infinite.

   one-to-one correspondence with the set of positive integers:

   f: Z+ → A, f(n) = 7n

Step-by-step explanation:

A set is finite when its elements can be listed and this list has an end.

A set is countably infinite when you can exhibit a one-to-one correspondence between the set of positive integers and that set.

A set is uncountable when it is not finite or countably infinite.
