A scientist monitored the number of fish in a lake and found that the number of fish increased at a rate proportional to the num

ber of fish present. At time t=0 years, there were 200 fish in the lake. At time t=2 years, there were 1000 fish in the lake. What will be the number of fish in the lake at time t=4 years?

Answer:

5000 fishes

Explanation:

Let the model of the number of fish be in the form of

P = Ae^{kt}

where t is the time (in year). So the rate of increasing would be proportional to the number of fishes presented in the lake

At t=0, P = 200

200 = Ae^0

A = 200At t = 2, P = 1000[tex] 1000 = 200e^{2k}

e^{2k} = 1000 / 200 = 5

2k = ln5

k = ln5/2 = 0.805

At t = 4,

P = 200e^{0.805*4} = 200*25 = 5000

Answer:

Fc = 7.14N

Explanation:

First of all, let's convert everything to the same unit system:

m = 0.0031kg     R = 13.1cm * 1m / 100cm = 0.131m

ω = 50000 rev/min * 1rev /( 2π rad ) * 1min / 60s = 132.63 rad/s

Now we can calculate centripetal force as:

Fc = m * \frac{V^2}{R} = m * \frac{(\omega*R)^2}{R}=m*R*\omega ^2

Replacing the values we get the answer:

Fc = 7.14N

Which of the following statements is FALSE?
Levart [38]

A thrust fault is a reverse fault with an extremely high dip (close to 90°). This is the false statement.

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

Faults are the fracture or fracture zone occurring on the rocks. These fractures can travel through the rocks leading to massive destruction. So, depending upon the direction of their travel, the faults can be classified as normal, reverse and strike slip fault. Also, the angle of dip along the fault is one of the important criteria for determining the type of faults.

There is dip-slip fault which has its movement along the vertical fault plane while the strike slip fault will be in horizontal direction. Similarly, an oblique fault will be acting in both vertical and the horizontal direction. So, the fourth statement related to thrust fault is false as in reverse fault or thrust fault the dip will be shallow and not high.
