A car has a mass of 1600 kg. It is stuck in the snow and is being pulled out by a cable that applies a force of 7560 N due north

. The resistance of the snow and mud also applies a force to the car, which has a magnitude of 7340 N and points due south. What is the acceleration of the car?
a)0.14 m/s2 north

b)4.7 m/s2 north

c)4.6 m/s2 south

d)9.3 m/s2 south

Answer:

The answer is a) 0.14 m/s² north.

Explanation:

Mass of car = 1,600 kg

The action force of the cable on the car = 7,560 N due north

but the force of resistance (reaction) of the snow and mud on the car = 7,340 N due south

Therefore, the net force on the car = 7,560 — 7,340 = 220 N (or 220 kgm/s²) due north (in the direction of the greater force)

In order to calculate the acceleration of the car, we will use the formula: Force = mass × acceleration

therefore, acceleration = Force ÷ mass

acceleration = 220 kgm/s² ÷ 1,600 kg = 0.1375 m/s² = 0.14 m/s²

This answer corresponds with option a).

Romashka [77]

Hey there!

Your answer is b. semantic encoding.

Semantic encoding is to remember something by relating it to the meaning of something rather than the actual sound or structure of it. He is relating her name, hope, to the feeling of hopefulness.

Chunking is breaking something up into smaller parts, long term potentiation is remembering by repetition, self-reference is relating something to yourself to remember it, and imagery is using mental pictures to remember.

Hope this helps!

what causes list development of a country ?why is Nepali still one of the least developed countries? write in points
Rudik [331]

Answer:

Some countries are less developed than others because they lack resources and there are structural inequalities. Nepal is still a less developed country because of the rugged geography and endemic poverty of a large part of its population.

Explanation:

Using the Human Development Index Nepal is ranked as a medium in the human development category. The Human Development Index considers factors life expectancy , average years of schooling, and the GNI per capita.  Between 1990 and 2018 Nepal improved on these indicators by 52%.  This is impressive for a country that in 1950 was still an isolated and highly agrarian society with very few schools or hospitals. There was a lack of roads and communication, and there was little to no electric power to fuel industries.

Today, agriculture still dominates the economy. About 65% are employed in agriculture and it makes up close to 32% of Nepal's GDP. Only about 20% of the terrain is cultivable. The rest is mountainous or forested and the economy is shored up by foreign remittances of workers who emigrate temporarily or semi-perminantly to other countries.

Elisa is upset with her supervisor because she was denied her requested vacation days, which were given to another worker. She i
liubo4ka [24]

In this example, we learn that Elisa is unhappy with her job, but that she is unable to quit, as she needs the money. Therefore, it is likely that her dissatisfaction will manifest in the form of negative, passive responses that will affect her job performance.

An example of this would be being absent more often. This is likely to come with excuses in order to justify her absenteeism. Another example of such a response would be stealing work supplies. Finally, Elisa might provide a poor customer service.

If the manager were to catch Elisa in a manifestation of workplace deviance, then it is likely that he would reprimand her. This would probably increase the dissatisfaction that Elisa is feeling, making her neglect her duties even more.
