Answer:

V₂ =31.8 mL

Explanation:

Given data:

Initial  volume of gas = 45 mL

Initial temperature = 135°C (135+273 =408 K)

Final temperature = 15°C (15+273 =288 K)

Final volume of gas = ?

Solution:

The given problem will be solve through the Charles Law.

According to this law, The volume of given amount of a gas is directly proportional to its temperature at constant number of moles and pressure.

Mathematical expression:

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

V₁ = Initial volume

T₁ = Initial temperature

V₂ = Final volume

T₂ = Final temperature

Now we will put the values in formula.

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

V₂ = V₁T₂/T₁

V₂ = 45 mL × 288 K / 408 k

V₂ = 12960 mL.K / 408 K

V₂ =31.8 mL

Calculate the nuclear binding energy for 5525mn in megaelectronvolts per nucleon (mev/nucleon). express your answer numerically
VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

8.533 Mev/nucleon

Explanation:

The given elements is:- ^{55}_{25}Mn

Atomic number : It is defined as the number of electrons or number of protons present in a neutral atom.

Thus, the number of protons = 25

Mass number is the number of the entities present in the nucleus which is the equal to the sum of the number of protons and electrons.

Mass number = Number of protons + Number of neutrons

55 =  25 + Number of neutrons

Number of neutrons = 30

Mass of neutron = 1.008665 amu

Mass of proton = 1.007825 amu

Calculated mass = Number of protons*Mass of proton + Number of neutrons*Mass of neutron

Thus,

Calculated mass = (25*1.007277 + 30*1.008665) amu = 55.441875 amu

Actual mass = 54.9380451 amu

Mass defect = Δm = |54.9380451 - 55.441875| amu = 0.5038299 amu

The conversion of amu to MeV is shown below as:-

1 amu = 931.5 MeV

So, Energy = 0.5038299*931.5 MeV= 469.317552 MeV

Total number of nucleons in the atoms = 55

<u>So, Energy = 469.317552/55 MeV/nucleon = 8.533 Mev/nucleon</u>

Which of the following statements concerning a metal crystallized in a face-centered cubic cell is/are CORRECT? 1. One metal ato
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

Only 3 is correct.

Explanation:

The crystal of a metal or an ionic compound is called a cell, and there are 7 types of unit cells: cubic, tetragonal, orthorhombic, monoclinic, hexagonal, rhombohedral, and triclinic.

In a face-centered cubic cell (FCC) all angles are 90º and all lengths are equal. Each cubic cell has 8 atoms in each corner of the cube, and that atom is shared with 8 neighboring cells. So for a metal crystal, the atom is located at each of the eight lattice points, where it is shared equally between eight unit cells.

Gasoline is a mixture of hydrocarbons, a major component of which is octane, CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH3. Octane has a vapor pressu
Nitella [24]

Answer:

\Delta \:H_{vap}=40383.88\ J/mol

Explanation:

The expression for Clausius-Clapeyron Equation is shown below as:

\ln P = \dfrac{-\Delta{H_{vap}}}{RT} + c

Where,

P is the vapor pressure

ΔHvap  is the Enthalpy of Vaporization

R is the gas constant (8.314×10⁻³ kJ /mol K)

c is the constant.

For two situations and phases, the equation becomes:

\ln \left( \dfrac{P_1}{P_2} \right) = \dfrac{\Delta H_{vap}}{R} \left( \dfrac{1}{T_2}- \dfrac{1}{T_1} \right)

Given:

P_1 = 13.95 torr

P_2 = 144.78 torr

T_1 = 25°C

The conversion of T( °C) to T(K) is shown below:

T(K) = T( °C) + 273.15

So,

T = (25 + 273.15) K = 298.15 K

T_1 = 298.15 K

T_2 = 75°C  = 348.15 K

So,

\ln \:\left(\:\frac{13.95}{144.78}\right)\:=\:\frac{\Delta \:H_{vap}}{8.314}\:\left(\:\frac{1}{348.15}-\:\frac{1}{298.15}\:\right)

\Delta \:H_{vap}=\ln \left(\frac{13.95}{144.78}\right)\frac{8.314}{\left(\frac{1}{348.15}-\frac{1}{298.15}\right)}

\Delta \:H_{vap}=\frac{8.314}{\frac{1}{348.15}-\frac{1}{298.15}}\left(\ln \left(13.95\right)-\ln \left(144.78\right)\right)

\Delta \:H_{vap}=\left(-\frac{863000.86966\dots }{50}\right)\left(\ln \left(13.95\right)-\ln \left(144.78\right)\right)

\Delta \:H_{vap}=40383.88\ J/mol

vredina [299]

Answer:

volume in L = 0.25 L

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of Cu(NO₃)₂ = 2.43 g

Volume of KI = ?

Solution:

Balanced chemical equation:

2Cu(NO₃)₂  + 4KI    →    2CuI + I₂ + 4KNO₃

Moles of Cu(NO₃)₂:

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Number of moles = 2.43 g/ 187.56 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.013 mol

Now we will compare the moles of Cu(NO₃)₂ with KI.

                        Cu(NO₃)₂       :              KI

                              2              :               4

                            0.013          :            4 × 0.013=0.052 mol

Volume of KI:

<em>Molarity = moles of solute / volume in L</em>

volume in L = moles of solute /Molarity

volume in L =  0.052 mol / 0.209 mol/L

volume in L = 0.25 L
