I made the drawing in the attached file.

I included two figures.

The upper figure shows the effect of:

- multiplying vector A times 1.5.
 It is drawn in red with dotted line.

- multiplying vector B times - 3 .
It is drawn in purple with dotted line.

In the lower figure you have the resultant vector: C = 1.5A - 3B.

The method is that you translate the tail of the vector -3B unitl the point of the vector 1,5A, preserving the angles.

Then you draw the arrow that joins the tail of 1,5A with the point of -3B after translation.

The resultant arrow is the vector C and it is drawn in black dotted line.

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Vector is a quantity that has a value and direction

Vector can be symbolized in the form of directed line segments

\large{\boxed{\bold{\overrightarrow{A}}}}

while the length of the vector is denoted by | a |

Vectors can be written in the form of sequential pairs which show their coordinates in the Cartesian plane :  a (a₁, a₂)

with length\large{\boxed{\bold{|a|\:=\:\sqrt{a_1^2+a_2^2}}}}

If the direction of vector a is reversed, we get the vector -a which has the same length but in the opposite direction

Operations on vectors include addition and subtraction. Addition of vectors a and vector b can be done in a triangular way where the base point of vector b coincides with the endpoint of vector a

The sum of the two is obtained by pulling the line segment from the base point of vector a to the endpoint of vector b which results in a new vector c

So a + b = c

If vector a is added by inverse b (-b) then the sum becomes a + (- b) = a-b

If a vector is multiplied by a scalar number (eg denoted by k) then the new vector becomes k | a |.

If k> 0, the new vector is in the direction of vector a, but if k <0 it will be in the opposite direction

There is an incomplete picture in the problem (picture attached), then a total of the vector is sought to obtain C = 1.5A-3B

If we multiply vector A by 1.5 then the length becomes 1.5 times vector A and in the same direction, so does vector B multiplied by the value of -3, which is 3 times the length of vector B but the direction is opposite, so we get vector C (attached picture) obtained by drawing a line from the starting point A and the endpoint B

a child hits a ball with a force of 350 N. (a) If the ball and bat are in contact for 0.12 is, what impulse does the ball receiv
Lina20 [59]

Explanation:

Given that,

Force with which a child hits a ball is 350 N

Time of contact is 0.12 s

We need to find the impulse received by the ball. The impulse delivered is given by :

J=F\times t\\\\J=350\times 0.12\\\\J=42\ N-m

So, the impulse is 42 N-m..

We know that he change in momentum is also equal to the impulse delivered.

So, impulse = 42 N-m and change in momentum =42 N-m.

B. Complete the table to show the effect of each change on each electric quantity. (1 point)
notka56 [123]

Answer:

Effect on electric force

Multiply one charge by 2

The electric force is given by F=kq1q2/r2

From the equation, the force is directly proportional to the charge.

Hence if one charge is doubled, then the electric force is doubled.

Multiply distance by 2

The electric force is given by F=kq1q2/r2

From the equation, the force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance of separation.

If the distance is doubled, F is decreased by 22. This means that the force is multiplied by 1/4.

Effect on electric potential energy

Multiply one charge by 2.

The electric potential energy is given by U=kq1q2/r

From the equation, the electric potential energy is directly proportional to the charge q.

If one charge is doubled, the electric potential energy is doubled.

Multiply distance by 2

The electric force is given by U=kq1q2/r

From the equation, the electric potential energy is inversely proportional to the distance of separation r.

If the distance is doubled, U is divided by 2. This means that the electric potential energy is multiplied by 1/2.

Effect on potential difference

Potential difference is defined as the change in electric potential energy.

Increase in the charge causes an increase in the potential difference and an increase in the distance of separation decreases the potential difference.

The United States and France both produce sweaters and caps. Suppose that a US worker can produce 50 caps per hour or 1 sweater
blagie [28]
The first statement is true, because the US worker can produce 10 more caps in the same amount of time as the French worker, the US has a comparative advantage when making caps.

If R is the total resistance of three resistors, connected in parallel, with resistances R1, R2, R3, then 1 R = 1 R1 + 1 R2 + 1
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

\Delta R_{max} = 0.46 ohm

Explanation:

Resistance is given of different values

now we have

R_1 = 64 ohm

R_2 = 20 ohm

R_3 = 8 ohm

possible error in all resistance is 0.5 %

now we know that

\Delta R_1 = 0.005\times 64 = 0.32 ohm

\Delta R_2 = 0.005 \times 20 = 0.1 ohm

\Delta R_2 = 0.005 \times 8 = 0.04 ohm

Now the maximum possible error when all resistance is connected in series

\Delta R_{max} = \Delta R_1 + \Delta R_2 + \Delta R_3

\Delta R_{max} = 0.32 + 0.1 + 0.04

\Delta R_{max} = 0.46 ohm

jenny's model train is set up on a circular track. There are six telephone poles evenly spaced around the track. It takes the en
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

T = 60 s

Explanation:

There are 6 poles on the track which are equally spaced

so the angular separation between the poles is given as

\theta = \frac{2\pi}{6}

\theta = \frac{\pi}{3}

so the angular speed of the train is given as

\omega = \frac{\theta}{t}

\omega = \frac{\pi}{30} rad/s

now we have time period of the train given as

T = \frac{2\pi}{\omega}

T = \frac{2\pi}{\frac{\pi}{30}}

T = 60 s
