Answer:

Explanation:

Environmental science is an interdisciplinary field of science that integrates the practical knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological sciences for the benefit or improvement of the environment. This interdisciplinary field of science helps to connect several scientific discipline/field with the aim of preserving or improving the condition of both the living and non-living components of the environment.

Individual science disciplines do not really address impact of study on both the living and non-living components of the environment; which is where environmental science comes in - to provide a bridge on these gaps and attempt to connect all these individual science disciplines.

An archeologist finds a 1.62 kg goblet that she believes to be made of pure gold. She determines that the volume of the goblet i
katovenus [111]
The answer is

The density (D) is quotient of mass (m) and volume (V):
D= \frac{m}{V}
The unit is g/cm³

It is given:
m = 1.62 kg = 1620 g
V = 205 mL = 205 cm³
D = ?

Thus:
D= \frac{m}{V} = \frac{1620g}{205cm ^{3} } = 7.90 g/cm ^{3}

The density of the goblet is 7.90 g/cm³.

How many lead (Pb) atoms will be generated when 5.38 moles of ammonia react according to the following equation: 3PbO+2NH3→3Pb+N
jasenka [17]

Answer:

4.86×10^23 molecule of Pb

Explanation:

Based on that equation, for every 2 moles of ammonia, you get 3 moles of lead.

So:

2 mol NH3/ 3 mol Pb

Using this ratio we can find the amounts of either molecule. Given 5.38 mol NH3:

(5.38 NH3)(3 Pb/ 2 NH3) = (5.38)(3/2) mol Pb = 8.07 mol Pb

Then, we just need to use Avagadro's number to get the number of molecules.

(8.07)(6.02×10^23) = 4.86×10^23 molecule of Pb

Which of the following combinations of particles represents an ion of net charge -1 and of mass number 82? Group of answer choic
noname [10]

Answer:

The correct choice is E (47 neutrons, 35 protons, 36 electrons)

Explanation:

A ion of net charge -1 means that the ion wins an e-.

We dismiss options B and C.

We also dismiss option A because neutrons + protons = 81.

neutrons + protons = mass number

So we have E and C.

We see that C has 47 neutrons, 36 protons and 36 electrons and, as the atomic number matches the number of protons, we find out on the Periodic Table that the atomic number 36 represents to Krypton, a noble gas. It is impossible! A noble gas never can't be a ion of net charge.

Option E is correct, It is an isotope of Br.

Br has 35 protons (its atomic number)

47 neutrons, that's why it is an Isotope (Br has always 45 neutrons)

As usual, Br has 35 electrons, if it represents a ion of net charge -1, it menas it won 1 e-.
