Answer:

A linear pattern is a continuous decrease or increase in numbers over time. On a graph, this data appears as a straight line angled diagonally up or down (the angle may be steep or shallow). So the trend either can be upward or downward.

Suppose you wanted to make a buffer of exactly ph 7.00 using kh2po4 and na2hpo4. if the final solution was 0.10 m in kh2po4, wha
OleMash [197]

Answer:- 0.138 M

Solution:- The buffer pH is calculated using Handerson equation:

pH=pKa+log(\frac{base}{acid})

KH_2PO_4 acts as a weak acid and Na_2HPO_4 as a base which is pretty conjugate base of the weak acid we have.

The acid hase two protons(hydrogen) where as the base has only one proton. So, we could write the equation as:

H_2PO_4^-\rightleftharpoons H^++HPO_4^-^2

Phosphoric acid gives protons in three steps. So, the above equation is the second step as the acid has only two protons and the base has one proton.

So, we will use the second pKa value. The acid concentration is given as 0.10 M and we are asked to calculate the concentration of the base to make a buffer of exactly pH 7.00.

Let's plug in the values in the equation:

7.00=6.86+log(\frac{base}{0.10})

7.00-6.86=log(\frac{base}{0.10})

0.14=log(\frac{base}{0.10})

Taking antilog:

10^0^.^1^4=\frac{base}{0.10}

1.38=\frac{base}{0.10}

On cross multiply:

[base] = 1.38(0.10)

[base] = 0.138

So, the concentration of the base that is Na_2HPO_4 required to make the buffer is 0.138M.

If 34.7 g of AgNO₃ react with 28.6 g of H₂SO₄ according to this UNBALANCED equation below, how many grams of Ag₂SO₄ could be for
Luba_88 [7]

The  number  of grams   of Ag2SO4  that could be formed  is   31.8  grams

    <u><em> calculation</em></u>

Balanced   equation is  as below

2 AgNO3 (aq)  + H2SO4(aq)  →  Ag2SO4 (s)   +2 HNO3 (aq)

  • Find  the  moles  of  each reactant by use  of  mole= mass/molar mass  formula

that is  moles of  AgNO3= 34.7 g / 169.87  g/mol= 0.204 moles

             moles of  H2SO4 =  28.6  g/98  g/mol  =0.292  moles

  • use the  mole  ratio to determine the moles of  Ag2SO4

   that is;

  •    the mole ratio of  AgNo3 : Ag2SO4 is  2:1 therefore  the  moles of Ag2SO4=  0.204  x1/2=0.102 moles

  • The moles  ratio of H2SO4  : Ag2SO4  is  1:1  therefore  the moles of Ag2SO4 = 0.292  moles

  •      AgNO3  is the limiting reagent therefore  the moles of   Ag2SO4 = 0.102  moles

<h3>     finally  find  the mass  of Ag2SO4  by use of    mass=mole  x molar mass  formula</h3>

that  is  0.102   moles  x  311.8  g/mol= 31.8 grams

After passing through pyruvate dehydrogenase and the citric acid cycle, one mole of pyruvate will result in the formation of ___
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

The answer to be filled in the respective blanks in question is

3 and 1

Explanation:

So, we know that the formation of cabon-dioxide mole and that of Adenosin-Tri-Phosphate (ATP) moles will be in the ratio of 3:1 i.e., three carbon-di-oxide moles and 1 ATP mole.

Therefore, we can say that one pyruvate mole when passed through citric acid cycle and pyruvate dehydrogenase yields carbon-di-oxide and ATP moles in the ratio 3:1
