Answer:

At 40 deg  Vy = V sin 40

at 70 deg Vy = V sin 70

So the ball launched at 70 deg has the greatest vertical velocity and will remain in the air the longest:

Since t = Vy / g    time for to reach zero vertical velocity and also the time for the ball to reach velocity Vy on the downward path

The wavelength of green light is 550 nm.
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

(a) momentum of photon is 1.205 x 10⁻²⁷ kgm/s

    velocity of electron is 1323.88 m/s

   momentum of the electron is 1.205 x 10⁻²⁷ kgm/s

(b) momentum of photon is 1.506 x 10⁻²⁷ kgm/s

  velocity of electron is 1654.85 m/s

  momentum of the electron is 1.506 x 10⁻²⁷ kgm/s

(c) The momentum of the photon is equal to the momentum of the electron

Explanation:

(a)

wavelength of green light, λ = 550 nm

momentum of photon is given by;

p = \frac{h}{\lambda}\\\\ p = \frac{6.626 *10^{-34}}{550*10^{-9}}\\\\p = 1.205 *10^{-27} \ kg.m/s

velocity of electron is given by;

P = \frac{h}{\lambda} \\\\mv = \frac{h}{\lambda}\\\\v = \frac{h}{m \lambda}\\\\v =   \frac{6.626 *10^{-34}}{(9.1*10^{-31} )(550*10^{-9})}\\\\v = 1323.88 \ m/s

momentum of the electron is given by;

p = mv

p = (9.1 x 10⁻³¹) (1323.88)

p = 1.205 x 10⁻²⁷ kgm/s

(b)

wavelength of red light, λ = 440 nm

momentum of photon is given by;

p = \frac{h}{\lambda}\\\\ p = \frac{6.626 *10^{-34}}{440*10^{-9}}\\\\p = 1.506 *10^{-27} \ kg.m/s

velocity of electron is given by;

v =   \frac{6.626 *10^{-34}}{(9.1*10^{-31} )(440*10^{-9})}\\\\v = 1654.85 \ m/s

momentum of the electron is given by;

p = mv

p =  (9.1 x 10⁻³¹) (1654.85)

p = 1.506 x 10⁻²⁷ kgm/s

(c) The momentum of the photon is equal to the momentum of the electron.

Two lasers, one red (with wavelength 633.0 nm) and the other green (with wavelength 532.0 nm), are mounted behind a 0.150-mm sli
Orlov [11]

Answer:

a.3.20m

b.0.45cm

Explanation:

a. Equation for minima is defined as: sin \theta=\frac{m\lambda}{\alpha}

Given m=3,\lambda=6.33\times 10^-^7 and \alpha=0.00015:

#Substitute our variable values in the minima equation to obtain \theta:

\theta=sin^-^1 (\frac{3\times 6.33\times 10^-^7}{0.00015})\\\\\theta=0.01266rad

#draw a triangle to find the relationship between \theta, y \ and L.

tan(\theta)=y/L               #where y=4.05cm

L=y/tan(\theta)=3.20

Hence the screen is 3.20m from the split.

b.  To find the closest minima for green(the fourth min will give you the smallest distance)

#Like with a above, the minima equation will be defined as:

sin \theta=\frac{m\lambda}{\alpha}, where m=4 given that it's the minima with the smallest distance.

sin \theta=\frac{4\lambda}{\alpha}\\\theta=sin^-^1 (\frac{4\times 6.33\times 10^-^7}{0.00015})\\\\\theta=0.01688rad

#we then use tan(\theta)=y/L to calculate L=4.5cm

Then from the equation subtract y_3 from y:

4.50cm-4.05cm=0.45cm

Hence, the distance \bigtriangleup y is 0.45cm

A circular coil has a 10.0 cm radius and consists of 30.0 closely wound turns of wire. an externally produced magnetic field of
IrinaVladis [17]
Magnetic flux can be calculated by the product of the magnetic field and the area that is perpendicular to the field that it penetrates. It has units of Weber or Tesla-m^2. For the first question, when there is no current in the coil, the flux would be:

ΦB = BA
          A = πr^2
          A = π(.1 m)^2
          A = π/100 m^2

 ΦB = 2.60x10^-3 T (π/100 m^2 ) ΦB = 8.17x10^-5 T-m^2 or Wb (This is only for one loop of the coil)

The inductance on the coil given the current flows in a certain direction can be calculated by the product of the total number of turns in the coil and the flux of one loop over the current passing through. We do as follows:

L = N (ΦB ) / I
L = 30 (8.17x10^-5 T-m^2) / 3.80 = 6.44x10^-4 mH
