A baker records the internal temperature of a pie that has been left out on the counter. The room temperature is 14 Celsius. An

equation that models this situation is T (t) =68 (0.5)^r/10 where T is the temperature in degrees Celsius and t is the time in minutes. Determine the temperature to the nearest degree,of the pie after 15
minutes. How much time did it take for the pie to reach an internal temperature of 31°C?

Assume r= t not sure if you mistyped this.
t = 15 min

T(t) = 68 (0.5)^(15/10) = 24 Celsius

31 = (0.5)^(t/10) take ln

ln31 = (t/10) ln (0.5) + ln68

t = (ln32 - ln 68/ln0.5) * 10 = 11.3 min

Find a formula for the general term an of the sequence, assuming that the pattern of the first few terms continues. (Assume that
mezya [45]

Answer:

The formula to the sequence

-5, 10/3, -20/9, 40/27, -80/81, ...

is

(-1)^n. 5×2^(n-1). 3^(1-n)

For n = 1, 2, 3, ...

Step-by-step explanation:

The sequence is

-5, 10/3, -20/9, 40/27, -80/81, ...

By inspection, we see the following

- The numbers are alternating between - and +

- The numerator of a number is twice the numerator of the preceding number. The first number is 5.

- The denominator of a number is 3 raised to the power of (1 minus the position of the number)

Using these, we can write a formula for the sequence.

(-1)^n for n = 1, 2, 3, ... takes care of the alternation between + and -

5×2^(n-1) for n = 1, 2, 3, ... takes care of the numerators 5, 10, 20, 40, ...

3^(1-n) for n = 1, 2, 3, ... takes care of the denominators 1, 3, 9, 27, ...

Combining these, we have the formula to be

(-1)^n. 5×2^(n-1). 3^(1-n)

For n = 1, 2, 3, ...

A summer camp cookout is planned for the campers and their families. There is room for 200 people. Each adult costs $4, and each
Sati [7]

Answer:

A.\\\\x+y\leq200\\\\4x+3y\leq750

Step-by-step explanation:

x - number of adults

y - number of campers

The room for 200 people: x + y ≤ 200

Each adult costs $4, and each camper costs $3: 4x and 3y

A maximum budget of $750: 4x + 3y ≤ 750
