Answer : The order of density from lowest density to highest density will be:

water < air < aluminum < steel < iron < silver < gold

Explanation :

Density : It is defined as the mass contained per unit volume.

Formula for density :

Density=\frac{Mass}{Volume}

From this we conclude that, the density depends on mass and volume of substance.

As we know that the density is an intensive property because it does not depend upon the amount of substance. It remains same.

That means, for every substance the density always fixed. So,

The density of iron = 7.86 g/mL

The density of gold = 19.3 g/mL

The density of steel = 7.8 g/mL

The density of water = 1.00 g/mL

The density of air = 1.29 g/mL

The density of silver = 10.5 g/mL

The density of aluminium = 2.70 g/mL

From this we conclude that, the order of density from lowest density to highest density will be:

water < air < aluminum < steel < iron < silver < gold

H2O, O2, Al, Fe (iron), Ag (silver), and Au (gold). I dont know the chemical makeup of steel though.  Density is equivalent to mass over volume (d=m/v) so im guessing that all these you just listed are in the same quantity. I got these answers by the molar mass of these compounds/elements. Higher molar mass= higher density

The values used in the scale of pH and pOH are derived from a system designed by ______. Gordonsen Sorenson Curie Dalton
yaroslaw [1]

Sorenson

Explanation:

The values used in the scale of pH and pOH are derived from a system designed by Sorenson. Søren Peter Lauritz Sørensen, a Danish chemist introduced the system of pH and pOH for describing the alkalinity and acidity of substances.

  • The pH and pOH scale is logarithmic scale that ranks the acidity and bascity of compounds.
  • pH is the negative logarithm of the concentration of  hydrogen/hydroxonium ions in solution i.e

              pH = -log₁₀{H⁺]

  • pOH is the negative log of the concentration of the hydroxyl ions in a solution i.e

             pOH = -log₁₀{OH⁻]

Use the conversion factor 1amu=6.66054 x 10^-24 to answer the following questions.. . a) 1.674 x 10^-24 g of neutrons is how man
Wewaii [24]
A.) The conversion factor is 1 amu = 1.66054 ^{-24}g

To know how many amu in 1.674x10^{-24}g grams of neutrons:
1.674x10^{-24}g ( \frac{x (amu) }{ 1.66054x10^{-24} g)}

=1.00811 amu

b.) The mass in grams of one lithium ion which has an atomic weight of 6.94 amu.

6.94 amu (\frac{6.66054 ^{-24} g}{1 amu}) = 4.62241x10 ^{23} g

c.) How many amu in 6.492x10^-23g potassium?

6.492x10^{-23}g ( \frac{x (amu) }{ 1.66054x10^{-24}g }) = 39.0957 amu

For a school event 1/6 of the athletic field is reversed for the fifth -grade classes the reserved part of the field is divided
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

\frac{1}{24}

Explanation:

Given:

For a school event, 1/6 of the athletic field is reserved for the fifth -grade classes and the reserved part of the field is divided equally among the 4 fifth grade classes in the school.

To find: fraction of the whole athletic field reserved for each fifth class

Solution:

Fraction of the whole athletic field reserved for four fifth classes = \frac{1}{6}

So, fraction of the whole athletic field reserved for each fifth class = \frac{1}{4}(\frac{1}{6})=\frac{1}{24}

How many moles are there in 8.50 X 1024 molecules of sodium sulfate, Na2SO3?
DiKsa [7]
Hello!

To solve this question, we need to use the Avogadro's Number, which is a constant first discovered by Amadeo Avogadro, an Italian scientist. He discovered that in a mole of a substance, there are 6,02*10²³ molecules. Using this relationship, we apply the following conversion factor:

8,50* 10^{24}molecules* \frac{1 mol Na_2SO_3}{6,02* 10^{23}molecules}=14,12 molesNa_2SO_3

So, 8,50 * 10²⁴ molecules of Na₂SO₃ represent 14,12 moles of Na₂SO₃

Complete the equation for the dissociation of cdcl2(aq). omit water from the equation because it is understood to be present.
mixas84 [53]
Cadmium chloride is a highly soluble compound. The equation for its dissolution is:

CdCl₂(s) → Cd⁺²(aq) + 2Cl⁻(aq)

This dissociation in water allows for the cadmium and chlorine ions to take part in reactions. This is the reason that solutions of chemicals are prepared when a reaction needs to take place.
