According to Newtons third law vertical components of T₁ and T₂ should be equal to the weight of the box or:

T₁sin(θ₁) + T₂sin(θ₂)=200 N

Since θ₂=65°, T₁=132.6 N and T₂=130 N we need to solve for θ₁:

T₂sin(θ₂)=200 N - T₁sin(θ₁)

sin(θ₂)=(200-T₁sin(θ₁))/T₂

θ₂=sin⁻¹{(200-T₁sin(θ₁))/T₂}=37.9°

So the angle θ₂=37.9°.

Answer:

38.29

Explanation:

First you need to find the vertical component of T2 by using trig, sin65 = y/130  ... y = 130*sin65 then y for T2 is 117.8, so 200 - 117.8 tells us the vertical component of the tension of T1 which is 82.18.  We can then use trig on the T1 triangle to solve for theta 1 which I will call X here....sinX= 82.17/132.6 and therefore X= sin-1 (82.17/132.6) and X (theta 1) = <u>38.29</u>

Hatshy [7]

Answer:128 N

Explanation:

Sample of 3 cm and 4 mm diameter found to break under a minimum force of 128 N .

If sample is 1.5 cm long with same cross-sectional area then minimum force required to break is also 128 N because the applied force is same for any length and diameter of tendon.

What physical property of minerals describes how they will break along a plane of weakness in a crystal lattice?
Rom4ik [11]
<span>The answer is cleavage Cleavage is the way minerals will break along a plane of weakness in a crystal lattice. These plane of relative weakness is formed due to various reasons like the locations of atoms in a crystal lattice so these locations form the smooth repeting surface which could be found out by studying its lattice or are sometimes visible to naked eye.</span>

The absolute pressure in water at a depth of 5m is read to be 145 kPa. Determine (a) the local atmospheric pressure, and (b) the
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

a) 95950 pascals

b) 137642.5 pascals

Explanation:

The absolute pressure (Pabs) on a fluid is:

P_{abs}=P_{gauge}+P_{atm} (1)

With Pgauge the pressure due depth on the fluid and Patm the atmospheric pressure. Pgauge is equal to:

P_{gauge}=\rho gh (2)

with ρ the fluid density, g the gravitational acceleration and h the depth on the fluid. Using (2) on (1) and solving for Patm:

P_{atm}=P_{abs}-P_{gauge}=P_{abs}-\rho_{water} gh

P_{atm}=(145000Pa)-(1000\frac{kg}{m^{3}})(9.81\frac{m}{s^{2}})(5m)

P_{atm}=95950Pa

b) Here we're going to use again (1) but now we have another value of density because it's other liquid, to know that value we should use the fact that specific gravity (S.G) for liquids is the ratio between fluid density and water density:

S.G=\frac{\rho_{fluid}}{\rho_{water}}

\rho_{liquid}=S.G*\rho_{water}

\rho_{liquid}=(0.85)*(1000\frac{kg}{m^{3}})=850\frac{kg}{m^{3}}

so:

P_{abs}=\rho_{liquid} gh+P_{atm}=(850\frac{kg}{m^{3}})(9.81\frac{m}{s})(5m)+95950Pa

P_{abs}=137642.5 Pa
