According to the Free Body Diagram of pulley system:

MA = W/T = n.

Here, MA is the mechanical advantage, W is the load, T is the tension, and n is the number of sections of rope supporting the load.

Let's calculate the ratio: 1700/340 = 5

Which means the T = 1/5 W, it can be achieved by compound pulley system with 4 or 5 pulleys.

So MA = 5, this is your answer.

Degger [83]

Answer and Explanation:

curents i = 2.9 A

           i ' = 4.4 A

the magnitude (in T.m) of the path integral of B.dl around the window frame = μo * current enclosed

          = μo* ( i '- i )

Since from Ampere's law

where μ o = permeability of free space = 4π * 10 ^-7 H / m

plug the values we get the magnitude (in T.m) of the path integral of B.dl = ( 4π*10^-7 ) (2.9+4.4)

Determine the sign (+ or −) of the torque about the elbow caused by the biceps, τbiceps, the sign of the weight of the forearm,
Alex Ar [27]
Ans:
1.  τbiceps = +(Positive)
2.  τforearm = -(Negative)
3.  τball = -(Negative)

Explanation:

The figure is attached down below.

1. Torque about the elbow caused by the biceps, τbiceps:
Since Torque = r x F (where r and F are the vectors)
Where r is the vector from elbow to the biceps.

We can see in the figure that F(biceps) is in upward direction, and by applying the right hand rule from r to F, we get the counterclockwise direction. The torque in counterclockwise direction is positive(+). Therefore, the sign would be +.

2. Torque about the the weight of the forearm, τforearm:
Since Torque = r x F (where r and F are the vectors)
Where r is the vector from elbow to the forearm.

Also weight is the special kind of Force caused by the gravity.

We can see in the figure that W(forearm) is in downward direction, and by applying the right hand rule from r to F, we get the clockwise direction. The torque in clockwise direction is negative(-). Therefore, the sign would be -.

3. Torque about the the weight of the ball, τball:
Since Torque = r x F (where r and F are the vectors)
Where r is the vector from elbow to the ball.

Also weight is the special kind of Force caused by the gravity.

We can see in the figure that W(ball) is in downward direction, and by applying the right hand rule from r to F, we get the clockwise direction. The torque in clockwise direction is negative(-). Therefore, the sign would be -.

An elementary particle of mass m completely absorbs a photon, after which its mass is 1.01m. (a) what was the energy of the inco
sdas [7]
A.) We use the famous equation proposed by Albert Einstein written below:

E = Δmc²
where
E is the energy of the photon
Δm is the mass defect, or the difference of the mass before and after the reaction
c is the speed of light equal to 3×10⁸ m/s

Substituting the value:

E = (1.01m - m)*(3×10⁸ m/s) = 0.01mc² = 3×10⁶ Joules

b) The actual energy may be even greater than 3×10⁶ Joules because some of the energy may have been dissipated. Not all of the energy will be absorbed by the photon. Some energy would be dissipated to the surroundings.

Lilli suggests that they explore the simulation starting with varying only a single parameter in order to understand the role of
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

One of the ways to address this issue is through the options given by the statement. The concepts related to the continuity equation and the Bernoulli equation.

Through these two equations it is possible to observe the behavior of the fluid, specifically the velocity at a constant height.

By definition the equation of continuity is,

A_1V_1=A_2V_2

In the problem A_2 is 2A_1, then

A_1V_1=2A_1V_2

V_2 = \frac{V_1}{2}

Here we can conclude that by means of the continuity when increasing the Area, a decrease will be obtained - in the diminished times in the area - in the speed.

For the particular case of Bernoulli we have to

P_1 + \frac{1}{2}\rho V_1^2 = P_2 +\frac{1}{2}\rho V_2^2

P_2-P_1 = \frac{1}{2} \rho (V_1^2-V_2^2)

For the previous definition we can now replace,

P_2-P_1 = \frac{1}{2} \rho (V_1^2-(\frac{V_1}{2})^2)

\Delta P =  \frac{3}{8} \rho V_1^2

Expressed from Bernoulli's equation we can identify that the greater the change that exists in pressure, fluid velocity will tend to decrease

The correct answer is B: "If we increase A2 then by the continuity equation the speed of the fluid should decrease. Bernoulli's equation then shows that if the velocity of the fluid decreases (at constant height conditions) then the pressure of the fluid should increase"

Problem: An ice hockey player hits a puck of mass 0.15 kilograms with a force of 100 newtons in the horizontal direction. What i
valina [46]
The acceleration produced in a body is always in the direction of the resultant force acting on the body. Therefore, we may determine the horizontal acceleration using the horizontal force applied. To do this, we may apply the mathematical form of Newton's second law:

Force = mass * acceleration
acceleration = force / mass

Substituting the values,
a = 100 / 0.15
a = 666.7 m/s²

The acceleration of the hockey puck is 670 m/s²
