To solve this problem, all we have to do is to thoroughly analyze the situation step by step.

First let us work on the remaining 10 gallons of water in the tank. We are given that 2 / 3 of the water initially in the tank leaked out. Therefore this means that we are left with 1 / 3 the original amount of water which is 10 gallons, hence:

(1 / 3) Vi = 10 gallons

where Vi is the initial volume of water inside the tank, calculating for Vi:

Vi = 3 (10 gallons)

Vi = 30 gallons

We are also given that this initial volume of water is just 3 / 4 of the total capacity of the tank, therefore:

(3 / 4) Vc = Vi

where Vc is the volume capacity of the tank, calculating for Vc:

Vc = 4 Vi / 3

Vc = 4 (30 gallons) / 3

Vc = 40 gallons

Answer:

<span>Capacity of the fish tank is 40 gallons</span>

I think you meant it to be not repeating 3 times so
You do 192/3 is 60*3= 180 leaving you with 12 which is 4*3. So 64 is A
Then it’s 300/5 which is 60
455/7. So first see, if I multiply 7 by 60 is it over or under. If it’s over then B is the least and if it is less then C is the least. So 7 *60 is 420
C Being greater, b costs least per night

If cos Θ = square root 2 over 2 and 3 pi over 2 &lt; Θ &lt; 2π, what are the values of sin Θ and tan Θ?
KIM [24]

Answer:

The answer is

sin(\theta)=-\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

tan(\theta)=-1

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

tan(\theta)=\frac{sin(\theta)}{cos(\theta)}

sin^{2}(\theta)+cos^{2}(\theta)=1

In this problem we have

cos(\theta)=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

\frac{3\pi}{2}

so

The angle \theta belong to the third or fourth quadrant

The value of sin(\theta) is negative

Step 1

Find the value of  sin(\theta)

Remember

sin^{2}(\theta)+cos^{2}(\theta)=1

we have

cos(\theta)=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

substitute

sin^{2}(\theta)+(\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2})^{2}=1

sin^{2}(\theta)=1-\frac{1}{2}

sin^{2}(\theta)=\frac{1}{2}

sin(\theta)=-\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2} ------> remember that the value is negative

Step 2

Find the value of tan(\theta)

tan(\theta)=\frac{sin(\theta)}{cos(\theta)}

we have

sin(\theta)=-\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

cos(\theta)=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

substitute

tan(\theta)=\frac{-\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}}{\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}}

tan(\theta)=-1

A cylinder and a cone have the same base and height. The cylinder can hold about 4,712 Centimeters cubed of sand. Jared says tha
o-na [289]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for determining the volume of a cylinder is expressed as

Volume = πr²h

The formula for determining the volume of a cone is expressed as

Volume = 1/3πr²h

This means that the volume of a cone is 1/3 × volume of a cylinder if they have the same base and height.

If the cylinder can hold about 4,712 Centimeters cubed of sand and Jared says that the cone can hold about 1,178 Centimeters cubed of sand, then

Jared is not correct because the cone and the cylinder have the same base and height so the cone holds StartFraction 4,712 Over 3 EndFraction almost-equals 1,571 centimeters cubed of sand.

inna [77]

Answer:

The general equation of a circle is x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 48 = 0 .

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form of equation of circle.

(x - h)^{2} + (y - k)^{2} = r^{2}

Where (h,k) is the centre of a circle and r is the radius.

As given

The center of a circle is located at (3, 8), and the circle has a radius that is 5 units .

Put in the formula

(x - 3)^{2} + (y - 8)^{2} = 5^{2}

(By using the formula (a - b)² = a² + b²- 2ab)

As 5² = 25

x² + 9 - 6x + y² + 64 - 16y = 25

x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 9 + 64 = 25

x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 73 = 25

x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 73 - 25 = 0

x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 73 - 25 = 0

x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 48 = 0

(As the general equation of a circle are in the form x² + y² + Ax +By + F =0   Where A,B and C are constant .)

Therefore the general equation of a circle is x² + y² - 6x - 16y + 48 = 0 .
