The source of energy for Earth is our sun. Sir Issac Newton thought of light as a steady stream of particles. His contemporary, Christian Huygens, thought that light had a wave motion. They were both correct. Light energy consists of moving quanta of photons. In 1802 the English physicist Thomas Young confirmed hypothesis by proving that light traveled in waves. <span> </span> Photosynthesis is the major process by which wavelengths are converted from light energy into a form of chemical energy which can be used by living organisms. This conversion process will be studied later in the semester. The energy from the sun is stored in the bonds that hold molecules together. <span> </span> One major storage source of this energy is the glucose which can be produced as a by-product of photosynthesis. When glucose is broken apart in the process of cellular respiration, it can be made available for use by organisms in all metabolic activities. The level would be about 5,000. <span> </span> This is much better than having it in the comments. Hope this helps you. :)

Biological control methods for managing insect pests are effective for reasons that include which of the following? They promote
Semenov [28]

Answer:

Option B, They generally focus on one target insect to ensure that the target insect population remains low.

Explanation:

Biological pest control methodologies are focused towards a specific species of pest and do not harm the non-targeted species. These methods are environment friendly and do not produce any harmful residues. Also they do not develop any kind of resistance in species due to which the same bio pesticide can be used again and again. Since these methods have high specificity, they may require usage of two or more bio pesticides all together.

Hence, option B is correct

g Indicate true (T) and false (F) statements below regarding cytokinesis in animal cells. Choose the correct answer represented
frozen [14]
<h2>Cytokinesis in animal cells</h2>

Explanation:

  • The force for cytokinesis is generated by kinesin motors on microtubule bundles that form the contractile ring:This statement is false because cytokinesis in animal cells starts with the assembly of contractile ring, contractile band consists of actin and myosin(microfilaments) which catalyse cleavage furrow formation
  • As the contractile ring constricts, its thickness increases to keep a constant volume:This statement is false because thickness remains constant
  • The midbody forms from bundles of actin and myosin: This statement is false because contractile ring forms bundles of actin and myosin whereas midbody is formed from microtubules
  • Local activation of Ran GTPase triggers the assembly and contraction of the contractile ring:This statement is false because local activation of Rho mediates profilin binding to actin and helps in assembly and contraction of contractile ring

ehidna [41]

Answer: Option B.

Precise but inaccurate.

Explanation:

It is precise because the measurement taken with well incremated tool reflect how close it is to the actual value i.e it has the quality of been exact but diet to the missing of 4.0 centimeter because a hungry beaver made a snack of it earlier that day the measurements will be INACCURATE because it does not conform with the result of the standard or correct value to be gotten.

The endomembrane system and ribosomes work together to perform what function
Vesnalui [34]

The endomembrane contains a numerous number of membrane which includes cell membrane, lysosomes , vacoules etc. In ribosomes proteins are synthesized, so some proteins are need to be send to particular organelle. Therfore we need to tag that proteins which permits to the dock the componets of the endomembrane system. This is the way both the endomembrane and ribpsomes work together.
