Given that mean=56.1 and standard deviation=8.2, P(x>67.5) will be found as follows:
The z-score is given by:
z=(x-μ)/σ
thus the z-score will be given by:
z=(67.5-56.1)/8.2
z=11.4/8.2
z=1.39
thus
P(z=1.39)=0.9177
thus:
P(x>67.5)=1-P(z>0.9177)
=1-0.9177
=0.0823

Answer: A.  0.0823

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Mean \mu=56.1

Standard deviation \sigma=8.2

P(x>67.5) will be found as follows:

The z-score is given by:

z=\frac{X-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values of means ans standard deviation in it, we get

\Rightarrow\ z=\frac{67.5-56.1}{8.2}\\\\\Rightarrow\ z=\frac{11.4}{8.2}\\\Rightarrow\ z=1.39

As

P(z<1.39)=0.9177

thus:

P(X>67.5)=1-P(z<1.39)

⇒P(X>67.5)=1-0.9177

∴P(X>67.5)=0.0823

What is the multiplicative rate of change of the exponential function represented in the table? 1.5 2.25 3.0 4.5
Sati [7]
Use the geometric sequence formula to solve for rate:
an=a1r^(n-1)

6.75=4.5r^(2-1)
6.75=4.5r
6.75/4.5=r
r= 1.5
and if you want to make sure just multiply each number by 1.5 and see if it gets you the next number
4.5 4.5×1.5=6.75 (holds true)
6.75 6.75×1.5=10.125 (holds true)
10.125 10.125×1.5=15.1875 (holds true)
15.1875

1.5 is the multiplicatice rate hope that helps :)

Tamara says that raising the number i to any integer power results in either -1 or 1 as the result, since i^2 = -1. Do you agree
Roman55 [17]
I agree only if you have even powers -- even negative ones.

1/i^2 = 1/-1 = - 1
i^0 also gives 1 So far no problem.

It is when you consider the odd numbers that you don't get 1 or -1
You get either -i or i
i^(4n + 1) =  i
i^(4n - 1) = -i

Mr. Abraham is 36 years old. His wife is 6 years younger than him and their son is 24 years old younger than his wife. What is t
sesenic [268]
Hi!
We know that Mr. Abraham’s wife is 6 years younger than him, which is 36-6, which means his wife is 30 years old.

We also know that Mr A’s son is 24 years younger than his wife, which is 30-24, which is 6.

As of right now, we now know that:
Mr. A is 36
Mr. A’s wife is 30
Mr. A’s son is 6

It’s asking for the ratio of Him:Wife:Son, so 36:30:6.

BUT, it’s asking for simplest form, so divide each of those numbers by 6.

Your answer is: 6:5:1
