Answer:

The area of the ΔAOB is 9\sqrt{3}\ unit^{2} .

Step-by-step explanation:

As given the figure

OA = OB = 6 unit

(Radius of the circle.)

In ΔAOB

As the two sides of a triangle thus there opposite angles are also equal .

∠A = ∠B

Let us assume that ∠A = ∠B = x°

∠A + ∠O + ∠B = 180°

(By using the angle sum property of a triangle.)

∠O = 60°

x° + 60° + x° = 180°

2x = 180 - 60

2x = 120

x = \frac{120}{2}

x = 60

∠A = ∠B = 60°

Thus

∠A = ∠B = ∠O = 60°

As all the angles of the ΔAOB are 60° thus ΔAOB is a equilateral triangle .

Also all the sides of the ΔAOB are also equal i.e AB = OA = OB = 6 unit .

Formula

Area\ of \ a\ equilateral\ triangle = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4} a^{2}

Where a is the side of the equilateral triangle .

a = 6 unit

Put in the above formula

Area\ of \ a\ equilateral\ triangle = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}\times 6^{2}

6² = 36

Area\ of \ a\ equilateral\ triangle = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}\times 36

Area\ of \ a\ equilateral\ triangle = 9\sqrt{3}\ unit^{2}

Therefore the area of the ΔAOB is 9\sqrt{3}\ unit^{2} .

There are two pizzas. Conor ate 1?4 of a pizza, Brandon 2?8, Tyler 3?4, and Audrey 4?8. Who ate the most of the two pizzas?
Katarina [22]

Answer:

Tyler ate most of the pizza.

Step-by-step explanation:

To make this much easier, we can convert this until it has a common denominator.

For these fractions, that common denominator is 8.

1/4 has to be multiplied by 2 to get 2/8.

2/8 doesn't need to be multiplied by anything to get to 2/8.

3/4 has the be multiplied by two to get 6/8.

Finally, 4/8 doesn't need to be multiplied by anything to get 4/8.

With 6/8 obviously being the biggest number here, we can conclude that Tyler ate the most of the two pizzas.

Steve made a sign for his room that is shaped like a triangle. It is 4.5 feet long and 3 feet high. He wants to make another sig
Fed [463]

Answer: PART A : \frac{4.4}{x} = \frac{3}{4}

PART B : 5.9 FEET

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the first sign = 4.4 feet

height of the first sign = 3 feet

Length of the second sign = x feet

height of the second sign = 4 feet

If two shapes are similar , then the ratio of their sides are equal,

That is ;

\frac{h_{1}}{h_{2} } = \frac{L_{1}}{L_{2} }

PART A

\frac{4.4}{x} = \frac{3}{4}

PART B

\frac{4.4}{x} = \frac{3}{4}

cross multiplying , we have

3x = 4.4 x 4

3x = 17.6

Divide through by 3

x = 17.6/3

x = 5.86666666666667

x≈ 5.9 feet

Therefore , the length of the new sign is 5.9 feet

Which of the x values are solutions to the inequality 4(2 – x) > –2x – 3(4x + 1)? Check all that apply.
steposvetlana [31]
4(2 - x) > -2x - 3(4x + 1)
8 - 4x > -2x - 12x - 3
-4x + 2x + 12x > -3 - 8
10x > -11
x > -11/10
x > -1.1

Therefore, x = 0 and x = 10 zre solutions to the inequality.
