Jessica wants to plan where she will place furniture in her room, so she has drawn a scale model of her room in order to begin p

lanning. The scale model is 11 inches long and 8.5 inches wide. Jessica notices that the door to her room takes up 1.75 inches on the right-side wall of her room, and she realizes that she cannot place any furniture in the area that the door turns through when it is opened. If the longest wall in Jessica’s actual room is 15 feet long, what is the best estimate of the area of the actual space in her room where furniture cannot be placed because of the door?

To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:
 1. You have that:
<span> - The scale model is 11 inches long and 8.5 inches wide.
 - The door to her room takes up 1.75 inches.
 - The longest wall in Jessica’s actual room is 15 feet long.
 2. Therefore, the actual size of the door is:
 15 feet=180 inches
 1.75 inches(180 inches/11 inches)=28.63 inches
 3. If the door in completely open, you must apply the formula for calculate the area of a semicircle:
 A=</span>πr²/2
 r=28.63 inches
 A=π(28.63 inches)²/2
 A=1288.11 inches²
 The answer is: 1288.11 inches²

If point C is inside AvB, then __+m CvB= m AvB
adelina 88 [10]

Answer: OPTION A

Step-by-step explanation:

It is important to remember the "Angle Addition Postulate" in order to solve this exercise.

You have this larger angle:

 \angle AVB

According to the "Angle Addition Postulate", if the point "C"  is in the interior of \angle AVB, then the measure of this angle can be obtained by adding the angle \angle AVC and the angle \angle CVB.

You can observe in the figure that:

 m\angle AVC=39\°\\\\\mangle CVB=23\°

Then you get that:

m\angle AVC+m\angle CVB=m\angle AVB\\\\39\°+23\°=62\°

Therefore, the correct answer is Option A.

What is the range of the function f(x) = 3x2 + 6x – 8?
yawa3891 [41]
F(x) is a quadratic equation with the x-side squared and a is positive which means that the graph of the function is a parabola facing up. The range of f(x) is given by {y|y ≥ k}, where k is the y-coordinate of the vertex.
f(x)=3 x^{2} +6x-8, written in vertex form is
y=3 (x+1)^{2} -11, where (h, k) = (-1, -11)
Therefore, range ={y|y ≥ -11}

Tickets to a school dance are sold for $10 each. The student council spent a total of $400 on set-up costs for the dance. The sc
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

P(t) = 10t - 400

Step-by-step explanation:

Selling price of each ticket = $10

Cost of setting up the dance= $400

Profit = Revenue - cost

Revenue = price × quantity

Revenue that will maximize profit = 10t

where t= quantity of tickets that maximises profits

Cost = $400

Profit(t) = Revenue - cost

P(t)= 10t - 400
