How many meatballs are required for a party of 25 adults and 5 children

Should be 30 meatballs. This is because there are 25 adults and 5 kids. 25+5 = 30. That is the least amount you need. However, most people try to provide at least 2 servings per person. So that would be 60 meatballs. That way each person has two meatballs. Hope this helps, if so please give brainliest:-)

Dmitrij [34]
Total number of students=50
Number of boys=2x
Number of girls=y
total will be:
2x+y=50
⇒y=50-2x

when (y-6) boys left the auditorium the new number of boys was:
2x-(y-6)
=2x-y+6
but y=50-2x
thus the new number will be:
2x-(50-2x)+6
=4x-44

when (2x-5) girls left the auditorium the remaining number will be:
y-(2x-5)
=y-2x+5
but
y=50-2x
thus the new number of girls will be:
50-2x-2x+5
=55-4x
new total number of students:
(55-4x)+(4x-44)
=11

probability of selecting a girl at random will be:
(55-4x)/11=9/13
13(55-4x)=9*11
715-52x=99
616=52x
x=12
thus
y=50-12=38
thus
x=12 and y=38

Suppose that 5 out of 13 people are to be chosen to go on a mission trip. In how many ways can these 5 be chosen if the order in
algol [13]

5 People can be chosen  in 1287 ways if the order in which they are chosen is not important.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total number of students= 13

Number of Students to be selected= 5

To Find :

The number of ways in which the 5 people can be selected=?

Solution:

Let us use the permutation and combination to solve this problem

nCr=\frac{(n)!}{(n-r)!(r)!}

So here , n =13  and r=5 ,

So after putting the value  of n and r , the equation will be

13C_5=\frac{(13)!}{(13-5)!(5)!}

13C_5=\frac{(13 \times12 \times11 \times10 \times9 \times8\times7 \times6 \times5 \times4 \times3 \times2 \times1)}{(8 \times7 \times6 \times5 \times4 \times3 \times2 \times1)(5 \times4 \times3 \times2 \times1)}

13C_5=\frac{(13 \times12 \times11 \times10 \times9 )}{((5 \times4 \times3 \times2 \times1)}

13C_5=\frac{154440}{120}

13C_5= 1287

Marcia has a balance of $1700 on her credit card, which she plans to pay off by making a payment of the same amount each month.
I am Lyosha [343]

Amount that is left on Marcia credit card = $ 1700

Marcia thought that ,she will pay off her balance,by making a payment of the same amount each month.

As, there are four payment methods are given , we have to find the way in which balance can be paid fastly.

A.→ 55 × Number of months = 1700

Number of months = \frac{1700}{55}=31 months (approx)

B. → 45 × Number of months = 1700

Number of months = \frac{1700}{45}=38 months (approx)

C.→ 75 × Number of months = 1700

Number of months = \frac{1700}{75}=23 months (approx)

D.→ 90 × Number of months = 1700

Number of months = \frac{1700}{90}=19 months (approx)

The monthly amount of $ 90,will allow Marcia to pay off her balance fastest.

You need to use trigonometry, and square all of the numbers, you then add the lowest two and they should sum to the other number.

The set that this works for is the correct set.

Hope this helps x

The pressure at sea level is 111 atmosphere and increases at a constant rate as depth increases. When Sydney dives to a depth of
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

we have P(x) = mx + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Allow me to revise your question for a better understanding:

<em>The pressure at sea level is 1 atmosphere and increases at a constant rate as depth increases. When Sydney dives to a depth of 23 meters, the pressure around her is 3.3 point, 3 atmospheres. The pressure p in atmospheres is a function of x, the depth in meters.</em>

My answer:

Given:

At O meter the the pressure is 1 (0, 1)

At 23 meters the the pressure is 3.3 (23, 3.3)

From that, we can form a linear equation with the standard form:

P(x) = mx + b (1)

The slope of (1) is:

m=\frac{3.3-1}{23-0}=\frac{2.3}{23}=\frac{23}{230}=0.1

<=> P(x) = 0.1x + b

Substitute the point (0, 1) into (1) we have:

1 = 0.1*0 + b

<=> b = 1

So we have the equation of this line will be: P(x) = mx + 1
