Given:

m(mass of Alex)=100Kg

u(initial velocity)=9 m/s

t(time of impact)=0.2 s

v(final velocity)=0.

Now we know that

v=u+at

We know that v is the final velocity.

u is the initial velocity

a is the acceleration

t is the time of impact

Now substituting these values we get

0=9+ax0.2

-0.2a=9

a=-45m/s^2

Thus the acceleration acting on the body is -45m/s^2

Also we know that

F=mxa

Where F is the force acting on the object.

m is the mass of the object.

a acceleration acting on the object.

F=-100x45

F=-4500 N

Thus the force of impact is -4500N

Two rocks are tied to massless strings and whirled in nearly horizontal circles so that the time to travel around the circle onc
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:m_1=m_2

Explanation:

Given

Time period for both string is same

\frac{2\pi r}{v_1}=\frac{2\pi 2r}{v_2}

2v_1=v_2

and tension in string 2 is  twice the first string

2T_1=T_2

Tension will provide centripetal acceleration

2\frac{m_1v_1^2}{r}=\frac{m_2v_2^2}{2r}

2\frac{m_1v_1^2}{r}=\frac{m_2\times 4v_1}{2r}

thus m_1=m_2

A proton and an electron are fixed 1.75 nm apart from each other. What is the force exerted on the electron due to the proton?
katovenus [111]

The electrostatic force exerted by the proton on the electron is given by:

F=k\frac{q_p q_e}{r^}

where

k=9.0 \cdot 10^9 N m^2 C^{-2} is the Coulomb's constant

q_p = q_e = 1.6 \cdot 10^{-19} C is the magnitude of the charge of the proton and of the electron

r=1.75 m is the distance between the proton and the electron

Substituting these data into the formula, we find the magnitude of the electrostatic force:

F=(9.0 \cdot 10^9) \frac{(1.6 \cdot 10^{-19})(1.6 \cdot 10^{-19})}{(1.75)^2}=7.5 \cdot 10^{-29} N

A coil of 1000 turns of wire has a radius of 12 cm and carries a counterclockwise current of 15A. If it is lying flat on the gro
grin007 [14]

Answer:

torque is 1.7 * 10^{-2} Nm

Explanation:

Given data

turns n = 1000 turns

radius r  = 12 cm

current I = 15A

magnitude B = 5.8 x 10^-5 T

angle θ = 25°

to find out

the torque on the loop

solution

we know that torque on the loop is

torque = N* I* A*B* sinθ

here area A = πr² = π(0.12)²

put all value

torque = N* I* A*B* sinθ

torque = 1000* 15* π(0.12)² *5.8 x 10-5 * sin25

torque = 0.0166 N m

torque is 1.7 * 10^{-2} Nm

Which force does the shuttle overcome to create an unbalanced net force as it initially lifts from the ground?
alisha [4.7K]

Hello!

The answer is Gravity. Lets take a look at the options:

A. Nope, this would be if the shuttle was going horizontal.

B. Again, this would be if the shuttle was going horizontal.

C. Yes! This is the only force that is being overcome by using the rocket thrusts to move up.

D. No, the shuttle is using its thrust rocks to push against gravity.

I hope this helps! :)
