The number of particles  that  are in 12.7  moles of  compound that Jessica had is     7.65 x10^24 particles  of compound ( answer E)

    <u><em>Calculation</em></u>

<u><em> </em></u>The number  of particles are calculated  using the Avogadro's Principle  constant.

  • that is according  to  Avogadro's    1 moles =  6.02 x10^23 particles

             what about 12.7 moles  of  compound=   ?  particles\

   by use of  cross multiplication

  • number of particles  of compound=  [12.7  moles  x (6.02 x 10^23)]  /  1 mole  = 7.65 x 10^24  particles  of compound ( answer  E)

N.b moles and moles cancels each  other

Two sets of flasks are connected by a hollow copper pipe, as shown. Which set will change the temperature most quickly?
Dennis_Churaev [7]
Hmm. I'm not 100% sure but. I'm pretty sure it's A because the heated water is below and there's a hotter temp. Also because it's copper, heat will move more quickly. I'm not 100% sure, are there notes you can check?

Which of the following statements is true about the following reaction?
MAVERICK [17]

The correct reaction equation is:

3NaHCO_{3} (aq) + C_{6}H_{8}O_{7} (aq) \rightarrow 3CO_{2} (g) + 3H_{2}O (l) + Na_{3}C_{6}H_{5}O_{7} (aq)

Answer:

b) 1 mole of water is produced for every mole of carbon dioxide produced.

Explanation: <u>CONVERT EVERYTHING TO MOLES OR VOLUME, THEN COMPARE IT WITH THE COMPOUND'S STOICHIOMETRY IN CHEMICAL EQUATION.</u>

a) <u>22.4 L of CO_{2} gas</u> is produced only when <u>\frac{22.4}{3} L of  C_{6}H_{8}O_{7}</u> is reacted with 22.4 L of NaHCO_{3}. So it is wrong.

b) Since in the chemical equation the stoichiometric coefficient of CO_{2}  and H_{2}O are same so the number of moles or volume of each of them will be same whatever the amount of reactants taken. <u>Therefore it is correct option.</u>

c)  6.02\times 10^{23} molecules is equal 1 mole of Na_{3}C_{6}H_{5}O_{7} if produced then 3 moles of NaHCO_{3} is required, which is not given in the option. So it is wrong.

d) 54 g of water or 3 moles of H_{2}O (<em>Molecular Weight of water is 18 g</em>) is produced when 3 moles of NaHCO_{3} is used but in this option only one mole of NaHCO_{3} is given. So it is wrong.

A sample of element X contains 90% X-35 atoms, 8.0% X-37 atoms, and 2.0% X-38 atoms. The average atomic mass will be closest to
Ne4ueva [31]

To find average atomic mass you multiply the mass of each isotope by its percentage, and then add the values up.

35 * 0.90 + 37 * 0.08 + 38 * 0.02 = 35.22

Average atomic mass closest to 35.22 amu.
