The first gap is phosphate sugar skeleton

The second gap is nitrogenous bases .

The third gap is nitrogenous base too, found only in RNA.

The skeleton of DNA is the phosphate-sugar succession of which each sugar bears a nitrogenous base.

Nitrogen bases are nitrogenous organic compounds present in nucleic acids in the form of nucleotides in which they are linked to a sugar.

The five main bases are adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine and uracil.

A sugar-phosphate backbone (alternating grey-dark grey) joins together nucleotides in a DNA sequence. The sugar-phosphate backbone forms the structural framework of nucleic acids, including DNA and RNA. This backbone is composed of alternating sugar and phosphate groups, and defines directionality of the molecule. The two strands run in opposite directions, one going in a 3' to 5' direction and the other going in a 5' to 3' direction. The nitrogenous bases are positioned inside the helix structure like "rungs on a ladder," due to the hydrophobic effect, and stabilized by hydrogen bonding. Uracil is one of the four nucleobases in the nucleic acid of RNA that are represented by the letters A, G, C and U. The others are adenine, cytosine, and guanine. In RNA, uracil binds to adenine via two hydrogen bonds. In DNA, the uracil nucleobase is replaced by thymine. Uracil is a demethylated form of thymine.

hope this helps

How does light intensity affect oxygen production?
ZanzabumX [31]
Greater light intensity would mean a faster rate of photosynthesis in plants. photosynthesis takes in carbon dioxide and water to produce glucose and oxygen. therefore, a greater light intensity would mean faster oxygen production

klio [65]

The correct answers are evolution, genetic mutation and selection.

The early ancestors of horses showed the pressence of digits and now the modern horses have hooves in their limbs. There could be many reasons for the pressence of hooves horses.

These could be due to the genetic mutations, which could have changed the shape of the digits in the limb. Sudden change in DNA can cause mutation and this mutation can change the phenotype of the horse.

There are chances that evolution took place over a period of time that changed the character in the horse.

Natural selection can also be one of the reason for the change in the phenotype of the digits on the limb of the horses.

Which two factors contributed to creating a truly global culture? a decrease in population growth rate improvements in telecommu
lora16 [44]

Answer:

1. Improvements in telecommunication

2. Improvements in global travel

Explanation:

Global culture refers to the transmission of beliefs, values, and ideas around the world that has a significant impact in the behavior of society. This has been evolving through time, especially since the Industrial Revolution. Today, we are capable of communicating with other people as quickly and easy as ever in the history of humanity and this will keep evolving as technology evolves as well.

This evolution is due to science and technology, especially to the improvements in telecommunication, which enables us to communicate with people from other countries through calls, social media messagings, e-mails, etc., and to the improvements in global travel, which is much more accessible today than it was before, allowing individuals to move from one country to the other easily and constantly and improving socialization between people from different cultures and backgrounds.

An important challenge to traditional (pre-1860) ideas about species was the observation that seemingly dissimilar organisms suc
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

Dissimilar organisms might have evolved from a distant, common ancestor.

Explanation:

First of all we should know species. Species is considered as a basic unit of taxonomic classification of an organism.

Initially, the scientists are agreed on this phenomenon that all distinct species are evolved gradually from common ancestor. Today, the species which are different from each other just like hummingbirds, humans and whales are from the same ancestor but with the time passage genetic mutation occurs and at the end dissimilar organisms we can see in our environment/surroundings.
