An experimental procedure requires 10 ml of acid to be dissolved into a beaker of water. An additional 5 ml of acid is added to

the solution. Answer:

The correct statement is that the concentration of the acid in the solution will increase.

Explanation:

On the basis of the given question, if one dissolves 10 milliliters of acid in a beaker of water, the acid will get diluted. As the number of moles of acid is not going to change, thus, one can use the formula:

M1V1 = M2V2

Here, M is the concentration of the acid in the solution,

V1 = 10 ml

V2 = V water + 10

If we supplement, an other 5 ml of acid, the new concentration of the acid will be:

M = M1 (5 ml) + M2 (Vwater + 10 ml) / (5 ml + V water + 10 ml)

Therefore, the concentration of the acid in the new solution will increase.

if 5.50 mol of calcium carbide (CaC 2 ) reacts with an excess of water, how many moles of acetylene (C 2 H 2 ) , a gas used in w
Leona [35]

Answer:

5.5moles

Explanation:

CaC2 + 2H2O —> Ca(OH)2 + C2H2

From the equation, the following were observed:

1mole of CaC2 reacted to produced 1mol of C2H2.

Therefore, 5.5moles of CaC2 will also produce 5.5moles of C2H2

Benzene, C6H6, reacts with oxygen, O2, to form CO2 and H2O. How much O2 is required for the complete combustion of 1.0 mol C6H6?
Vsevolod [243]
C6H6 + 02 forms CO2 + H20
Complete with factors to stabilize
C6H6 + 15/2 O2 forms 6 CO2 + 3 H2O
You take away only the info you need
C6H6 15/2 O2
1 mol 15/2 or 7,5 mol

15/2 or 7,5 mol of O2 are required.

On temperature 25°C (298,15K) and pressure of 1 atm each gas has same amount of substance:
n(gas) = p·V ÷ R·T = 1 atm · 20L ÷ 0,082 L·atm/K·mol · 298,15 K
n(gas) = 0,82 mol.
1) m(He) = 0,82 mol · 4 g/mol = 3,28 g.
d(He) = 10 g + 3,28 g ÷ 20 L = 0,664 g/L.
2) m(Ne) = 0,82 mol · 20,17 g/mol = 16,53 g.
d(Ne) = 26,53 g ÷ 20 L = 1,27 g/L.
3) m(CO) = 0,82 mol ·28 g/mol = 22,96 g.
d(CO) = 32,96 g ÷ 20L = 1,648 g/L.
4) m(NO) = 0,82 mol ·30 g/mol = 24,6 g.
d(NO) = 34,6 g ÷ 20 L = 1,73 g/L.
