Attached to this answer is the format of Isotope Notation that you can use for future reference. <em>(Please open)</em>

There are 8 Protons. The Atomic Number is the same number of an element's proton.

If you can see in the format, the mass number is calculated by adding the atomic number/protons and neutrons.

Mass number = 8 + 11
Mass number = 19

All of the following reactions can be described as displacement reactions except:____________.
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

b

Explanation:

The reaction that is not a displacement reaction from all the options is C_6H_6_{(l)} + Cl_{2(g)} --> C_6H_5Cl_{(l)} + HCl_{(g)}

In a displacement reaction, a part of one of the reactants is replaced by another reactant. In single displacement reactions, one of the reactants completely displaces and replaces part of another reactant. In double displacement reaction, cations and anions in the reactants switch partners to form products.

<em>Options a, c, d, and e involves the displacement of a part of one of the reactants by another reactant while option b does not.</em>

Correct option = b.

9 The Haber process is a reversible reaction. N2(g) + 3H2(g) 2NH3(g) The reaction has a 30% yield of ammonia. Which volume of am
Illusion [34]

Answer:  3.36 L of ammonia gas

Explanation:

The balanced chemical reaction is:

N_2(g)+3H_2(g)\rightarrow 2NH_3(g)

According to stoichiometry :

3 moles of H_2 produce = 2 moles of NH_3

Thus 0.75 moles of H_2 will producee=\frac{2}{3}\times 0.75=0.50moles  of NH_3

But as percent yield is 30 %, amount of ammonia produced = \frac{30}{100}\times 0.50moles=0.15moles

According to ideal gas equation:

PV=nRT

P = pressure  = 1 atm

V = Volume  = ?

n = number of moles = 0.15

R = gas constant =0.0821Latm/Kmol

T =temperature =273K

V=\frac{nRT}{P}

V=\frac{0.15\times 0.0820 L atm/K mol\times 273K}{1atm}=3.36L

Thus 3.36 L of ammonia gas is obtained by reacting 0.75 moles of hydrogen with excess nitrogen.

Given 700 ml of oxygen at 7 ºC and 106.6 kPa pressure, what volume does it take at 27ºC and 66.6 kPa pressure
o-na [289]

Answer:

The volume is 1.2L

Explanation:

Initial volume (V1) = 700mL = 0.7L

Initial temperature (T1) = 7°C = (7 + 273.15)K = 280.15K

Initial pressure = 106.6kPa = 106600Pa

Final temperature (T2) = 27°C = (27 + 273.15)K = 300.15K

Final pressure (P2) = 66.6kPa = 66600Pa

Final volume (V2) = ?

To solve this question, we need to use combined gas equation which is a combination of Boyle's law, Charles Law and pressure law.

(P1 × V1) / T1 = (P2 × V2) / T2

solve for V2 by making it the subject of formula,

P1 × V1 × T2 = P2 × V2 × T1

V2 = (P1 × V1 × T2) / (P2 × T1)

V2 = (106600 × 0.7 × 300.15) / (66600 × 280.15)

V2 = 22397193 / 18657990

V2 = 1.2L

The final volume of the gas is 1.2L
