Answer:

Radius of curvature of the path is 1063 meters

Explanation:

It is given that,

Force acting on the pilot is about seven times of his weight. Speed with which pilot moves, v = 250 m/s.

As per Newton's second law of motion, the net force acting on the pilot at the bottom is given by :

N-mg=\dfrac{mv^2}{r}

Where

N is the normal force

r is the radius of curvature

According to given condition,

7mg-mg=\dfrac{mv^2}{r}

6mg=\dfrac{mv^2}{r}

r=\dfrac{mv^2}{6mg}

r=\dfrac{mv^2}{6mg}

r=\dfrac{v^2}{6g}

r=\dfrac{(250)^2}{6\times 9.8}

r = 1062.92 meters

or

r = 1063 meters

So, the radius of curvature of the path is 1063 meters. Hence, this is the required solution.

The amount of pressure required to move a 6800 lb force with a 6" d piston is ___ psi.
Katena32 [7]
The pressure needed in PSI = Pounds of force needed divided by the cylinder Area
The Cylinder rod Area is 21.19  sq inches
Thus, the pressure= 6800/21.19
                              = 320.91 PSI

A worker stands still on a roof sloped at an angle of 35° above the horizontal. He is prevented from slipping by static friction
aleksley [76]

Answer:

99.63 kg

Explanation:

From the force diagram

N = normal force on the worker from the surface of the roof

f = static frictional force = 560 N

θ = angle of the slope = 35

m = mass of the worker

W = weight of the worker = mg

W Cosθ = Component of the weight of worker perpendicular to the surface of roof

W Sinθ = Component of the weight of worker parallel to the surface of roof

From the force diagram, for the worker not to slip, force equation must be

W Sinθ = f

mg Sinθ = f

m (9.8) Sin35 = 560

m = 99.63 kg

Answer:

Explanation:

Mutual inductance is equal to magnetic flux induced in the secondary coli due to unit current in the primary coil .

magnetic field in a torroid  B = μ₀ n I , n is number of turns per unit length and I is current .

B = 4π x 10⁻⁷ x (1000 / 2π x .16  )x 1 ( current = 1 A)

flux in the secondary coil

= B x area of face of coil x no of turns of secondary

= 4π x 10⁻⁷ x (1000 /2π x .16  ) .25 x 10⁻⁴ x 750

= 2 x 1000 x .25 x( 750 /.16) x 10⁻¹¹
