Notice that we have the weight of the crane exerting a torque about the front wheels of the same crane. to create a torque, a fo

rce must be present, so it would seem that somehow the weight of the crane is exerting a force upon its front wheels. however, the crane is one object, and it follows from newton's laws that an object cannot exert a net force upon itself. this crane seems to be defying newton's laws. what's going on here?

According to Newton's third law of motion, "For every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction." The force exerted by one object on a second object would produce a reaction that is exerted by the second object to the first object. It's not the first object that is exerting the net force upon itself. No laws of physics are defied.

In a certain region of space, a uniform electric field has a magnitude of 4.30 x 104 n/c and points in the positive x direction.
denis23 [38]
The magnetic force exerted by a field E to a charge q is given by F=Eq. In this case, F=4.30*10^4*(6.80mu C). 1mu C=10^-6C, so F=4.30*6.80=10^-2=0.29N. The direction is in the x direction, the direction that the field is applied because the charge is positive.

Two long straight wires enter a room through a window. One carries a current of 2.9A into the room, while the other carries a cu
Degger [83]

Answer and Explanation:

curents i = 2.9 A

           i ' = 4.4 A

the magnitude (in T.m) of the path integral of B.dl around the window frame = μo * current enclosed

          = μo* ( i '- i )

Since from Ampere's law

where μ o = permeability of free space = 4π * 10 ^-7 H / m

plug the values we get the magnitude (in T.m) of the path integral of B.dl = ( 4π*10^-7 ) (2.9+4.4)

                                 = 1.884 * 10^-6 Tm

If R is the total resistance of three resistors, connected in parallel, with resistances R1, R2, R3, then 1 R = 1 R1 + 1 R2 + 1
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

\Delta R_{max} = 0.46 ohm

Explanation:

Resistance is given of different values

now we have

R_1 = 64 ohm

R_2 = 20 ohm

R_3 = 8 ohm

possible error in all resistance is 0.5 %

now we know that

\Delta R_1 = 0.005\times 64 = 0.32 ohm

\Delta R_2 = 0.005 \times 20 = 0.1 ohm

\Delta R_2 = 0.005 \times 8 = 0.04 ohm

Now the maximum possible error when all resistance is connected in series

\Delta R_{max} = \Delta R_1 + \Delta R_2 + \Delta R_3

\Delta R_{max} = 0.32 + 0.1 + 0.04

\Delta R_{max} = 0.46 ohm
