Answer:

Electron will travel to a distance of 0.189 m before its velocity is 0

Explanation:

We have initial speed of the electron u=27.5\times 10^6m/sec

Electric field E=11.4\times 10^3N/C

Charge on electron will be q=1.6\times 10^{-19}C

Mass of electron m=9.1\times 10^{-31}kg

We know that Columbus force is equal to F = qE and according to newtons law force is equal to F = ma , here m is mass and a is acceleration

These two forces will be equal

So ma = qE

a=\frac{qE}{m}=\frac{1.6\times 10^{-19}\times 11.4\times 10^3}{9.1\times 10^{-31}}=2\times 10^{15}m/sec^2

According to third equation of motion

v^2=u^2+2as

So 0^2=(27.5\times 10^{6})^2+2\times 2\times 10^{15}\times s

s = 0.189 m

So electron will travel to a distance of 0.189 m before its velocity is 0

Given equal time periods, which statement is correct?
Mekhanik [1.2K]
The correct option is B.
Nuclear fission and fusion are two different types of nuclear reactions, through which energy may be obtained. Nuclear fission involves the splitting of a molecule into two different part in order to generate energy while nuclear fusion reaction involves the joining together of two elements in other to form one product. Nuclear fission generate much radioactive waste than nuclear fusion. The radioactive waste that is obtainable during nuclear fusion is less than 1% of that produce by nuclear fission.

If a force of 65 N is exerted on a 45 kg sofa and the sofa is moved 6.0 meters, how much work is done in moving the sofa? 17,550
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

The answer to your question is:   W = 390 J

Explanation:

Work is the transfer of energy when a body is moved from one place to another.

Data

Force = 65 N

mass = 45 kg

distance = 6 meters

work = ? J

Formula

W = F x d

Process

                   W = 65 N x 6 m

                   W = 390 J

A 6.0 kg box slides down an inclined plane that makes an angle of 39° with the horizontal. If the coefficient of kinetic frictio
dlinn [17]

Answer:

a = 4.72 m/s²

Explanation:

given,

mass of the box (m)= 6 Kg

angle of inclination (θ) = 39°

coefficient of kinetic friction (μ) = 0.19

magnitude of acceleration = ?

box is sliding downward so,

F - f = m a

f is the friction force

m g sinθ - μ N = ma

m g sinθ - μ m g cos θ = ma

a = g sinθ - μ g cos θ

a = 9.8 x sin 39° - 0.19 x 9.8 x cos 39°

a = 4.72 m/s²

the magnitude of acceleration of the box down the slope is a = 4.72 m/s²
