Answer:

4.8967m

Explanation:

Given the following data;

M = 0.2kg

∆p = 0.58kgm/s

S(i) = 2.25m

Ratio h/w = 12/75

Firstly, we use conservation of momentum to find the velocity

Therefore, ∆p = MV

0.58kgm/s = 0.2V

V = 0.58/2

V = 2.9m/s

Then, we can use the conservation of energy to solve for maximum height the car can go

E(i) = E(f)

1/2mV² = mgh

Mass cancels out

1/2V² = gh

h = 1/2V²/g = V²/2g

h = (2.9)²/2(9.8)

h = 8.41/19.6 = 0.429m

Since we have gotten the heigh, the next thing is to solve for actual slant of the ramp and initial displacement using similar triangles.

h/w = 0.429/x

X = 0.429×75/12

X = 2.6815

Therefore, by Pythagoreans rule

S(ramp) = √2.68125²+0.429²

S(ramp) = 2.64671

Finally, S(t) = S(ramp) + S(i)

= 2.64671+2.25

= 4.8967m

1. A diffraction grating with 5.000 x 103 lines/cm is used to examine the sodium
Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

0.0002°, 0.1691°, 0.338°

Explanation:

Difference between the two line = 5.97 * 10-⁸m

d = 1 / N

N = 5.0 * 10³

d = 2.0 * 10⁴m

nL = Nsin¤

For first order

588.995 * 10-⁹ = 2.0 * 10-⁴ sin ¤

Sin¤ = 2.944*10-³

¤ = sin-¹ 0.002944

¤ = 0.1687°

First order ¤ =

Sin-¹(589.592*-⁹ / 2.0 * 10-⁴)

Sin-¹ (0.002947) = 0.1689°

Angular separation = 0.1689 - 0.1687 = 0.0002°

Second order ¤ = sin-¹ [2 (589.59*10-⁹ / 2.0*10-⁴)] = sin-¹ (0.005895)

Second order ¤ = 0.3378°

Angular difference = 0.3378° - 0.1687° = 0.1691°

Third order ¤ = sin-¹ [3(589.59*10-⁹ /2.0*10-⁴] = 0.5067°

Angular difference = 0.5067° - 0.1687° = 0.338°

A 4.0-m-diameter playground merry-go-round, with a moment of inertia of 350 kg⋅m2 is freely rotating with an angular velocity of
Flauer [41]

Answer:

v = 4.375\,\frac{m}{s}

Explanation:

The situation of the system Ryan - merry-go-round is modelled after the Principle of the Angular Momentum Conservation:

(350\,kg\cdot m^{2})\cdot (1.5\,\frac{rad}{s} ) - (2\,m)\cdot (60\,kg)\cdot v = 0\,kg\cdot \frac{m^{2}}{s}

The initial speed of Ryan is:

v = 4.375\,\frac{m}{s}

Tiana jogs 1.5 km along a straight path and then turns and jogs 2.4 km in the opposite direction. She then turns back and jogs 0
vichka [17]

Answer:

Distance: 4.6km Displacement= -0.2km

Explanation:

Total distance: 1.5+2.4+0.7= 4.6 km

Displacement: 1.5-2.4+0.7= -0.2km

The displacement may also be 0.2km, it just depends on if it wants it negative or not.
