<u>Answer:</u> The upward thrust force needed is 5003.2 N

<u>Explanation:</u>

Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity with respect to time.

Mathematically,

a=\frac{v-u}{t}

where,

v = final velocity = 28 m/s

u = initial velocity = 0 m/s

t = time taken = 3.3 s

Putting values in above equation, we get:

a=\frac{28-0}{3.3}=8.48m/s^2

Force is defined as the push or pull on an object with some mass that causes change in its velocity.

It is also defined as the mass multiplied by the acceleration of the object.

Mathematically,

F=m\times a

where,

F = force exerted on the rocket = ?

m = mass of the rocket = 590 kg

a = acceleration of the rocket = 8.48m/s^2

Putting values in above equation, we get:

F=590kg\times 8.48m/s^2\\\\F=5003.2N

Hence, the upward thrust force needed is 5003.2 N

V(final)=V₀+a(t), V(final)=28, V₀=0, t=3.3, solve for a. a=28/3.3=8.5m/s^2. F=ma, F=?, m=590kg, a=8.5m/s^2, F=5015N.

Draw the vector C⃗ =1.5A⃗ −3B⃗ . The length and orientation of the vector will be graded. The location of the vector is not impo
Nutka1998 [239]
I made the drawing in the attached file.

I included two figures.

The upper figure shows the effect of:

- multiplying vector A times 1.5.
 It is drawn in red with dotted line.

- multiplying vector B times - 3 .
It is drawn in purple with dotted line.

In the lower figure you have the resultant vector: C = 1.5A - 3B.

The method is that you translate the tail of the vector -3B unitl the point of the vector 1,5A, preserving the angles.

Then you draw the arrow that joins the tail of 1,5A with the point of -3B after translation.

The resultant arrow is the vector C and it is drawn in black dotted line.

A rectangular beam 10 cm wide, is subjected to a maximum shear force of 50000 N, the corresponding maximum shear stress being 3
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

Option B is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Shear stress is the ratio of shear force to area.

We have

       Shear stress = 3 N/mm² = 3 x 10⁶ N/m²

       Area = Area of rectangle = 10 x 10⁻² x d = 0.1d

       Shear force = 50000 N

Substituting

        \texttt{Shear stress}=\frac{\texttt{Shear force}}{\texttt{Area}}\\\\3\times 10^6=\frac{50000}{0.1d}\\\\d=0.1667m=16.67cm

Width of beam = 16.67 cm

Option B is the correct answer.
