Momentum= FΔt=mΔv=Δp

Assuming that the initial direction of the ball is negative;

(0.145)(49-(-44)) <-- Δv= final velocity-initial
(0.145)(49+44)
= 13.485 Ns impulse in the opposite direction

Hope I helped :)

Una columna de mármol, cuya área de sección transversal es de 2.0 m2 sostiene una masa de 25.000 kg. Encontrar: (3 pto )a) El es
bazaltina [42]

Responder:

122,500 Pa; 2.45 × 10 ^ -6; 2.94 × 10 ^ -5m

Explicación:

Dado lo siguiente:

Área de sección transversal (A) = 2m ^ 2

Masa (m) = 25000 kg

Módulo de Young = 50 x 10 ^ 9 N / m2

(1) estrés en la columna:

Estrés = Fuerza / Área

F = masa * aceleración debido a la gravedad

F = 25000kg * 9.8m / s ^ 2 = 245,000J

Estrés = 245,000J / 2m ^ 2

Estrés = 122,500 Pa

2) Deformación de la unidad (deformación):

Usando la relación:

Módulo de Young = Estrés / tensión

50 × 10 ^ 9 = 122,500 / CEPA

Cepa = 122500 / (50 × 10^9)

Cepa = 0.00000245

C) Si la altura es de 12 m, ¿cuánto se acorta la columna?

Cepa = extensión / longitud

0.00000245 = extensión / 12

0,00000245 * 12

0,0000294 m

When numbers are very small or very large, it is convenient to either express the value in scientific notation and/or by using a
Oxana [17]

Answer:

5 mg, 5\cdot 10^{-3}g

Explanation:

First of all, let's rewrite the mass in grams using scientific notation.

we have:

m = 0.005 g

To rewrite it in scientific notation, we must count by how many digits we have to move the dot on the right - in this case three. So in scientific notation is

m=5\cdot 10^{-3}g

If  we want to convert into milligrams, we must remind that

1 g = 1000 mg

So we can use the proportion

1 g : 1000 mg = 0.005 g : x

and we find

x=\frac{(1000 mg)(0.005 g)}{1 g}=5 mg

Rotational dynamics about a fixed axis: A person pushes on a small doorknob with a force of 5.00 N perpendicular to the surface
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

I = 2 kgm^2

Explanation:

In order to calculate the moment of inertia of the door, about the hinges, you use the following formula:

\tau=I\alpha     (1)

I: moment of inertia of the door

α: angular acceleration of the door = 2.00 rad/s^2

τ: torque exerted on the door

You can calculate the torque by using the information about the Force exerted on the door, and the distance to the hinges. You use the following formula:

\tau=Fd        (2)

F: force = 5.00 N

d: distance to the hinges = 0.800 m

You replace the equation (2) into the equation (1), and you solve for α:

Fd=I\alpha\\\\I=\frac{Fd}{\alpha}

Finally, you replace the values of all parameters in the previous equation for I:

I=\frac{(5.00N)(0.800m)}{2.00rad/s^2}=2kgm^2

The moment of inertia of the door around the hinges is 2 kgm^2

A bicyclist of mass 112 kg rides in a circle at a speed of 8.9 m/s. If the radius of the circle is 15.5 m, what is the centripet
kogti [31]
The centripetal force, Fc, is calculated through the equation,
                                    Fc = mv²/r
where m is the mass,v is the velocity, and r is the radius.
Substituting the known values,
                                     Fc = (112 kg)(8.9 m/s)² / (15.5 m)
                                         = 572.36 N
Therefore, the centripetal force of the bicyclist is approximately 572.36 N.

Superman used X-ray vision to detect objects. Aside from a source of X-rays, what else would be needed for X-ray vision?
Arada [10]

Answer:

an absorber of x-ray

Explanation:

To make x-ray detection/vision work, you will need at least two items: a source of x-ray and absorbed or x-ray.

The object you want to see itself doesn't have to be the source, but it has to absorb some of the rays instead. When doing a chest x-ray test, the medical employee will put your chest between absorber and source. The heart can absorb some of the rays so it will appear more white than lungs who made of air and won't absorb the rays.
