Answer:(1) The value of angle CAD is 100 degree. (2) The value of angle ABC is 95 degree.

Explanation:

(1)

According to the first given figure It is noticed that the value of angle ACB is 80 and angle ABC is 20 degree and we have to find angle CAD.

The exterior angle theorem of a triangle states that value of exterior angle is the sum of the other two interior angles.

\angle CAD=\angle ABC+\angle ACB

\angle CAD=20+80=100

Therefore, the angle CAD is 100 degree.

(2)

For second figure it is given that The measure of ∠DAB equals 125º. The measure of ∠ACB equals 30º.

By using the exterior angle theorem of a triangle, we can say that,

\angle BAD=\angle ABC+\angle ACB

125=\angle ABC+30

\angle ABC=125-30

\angle ABC=95

Therefore, the angle ABC is 95 degree.

< CAD = 100....if u add < ACB + < CBA u get < CAD
================
< DAB = 125 and < ACB = 30

if DAB = 125.....then BAC = 180 - 125 = 55
and all 3 interior angles of a triangle = 180
< BAC + < ACB + < ABC = 180
55 + 30 + < ABC = 180
85 + < ABC = 180
< ABC = 180 - 85
< ABC = 95 <===

Two people start walking at the same time in the same direction. One person walks at 8 mph and the other person walks at 2 mph.
schepotkina [342]
Time = distance/speed

The distance between the walkers increases at the rate of (8 mph) -(2 mph) = 6 mph. That distance will be 4.5 mi after ...
 (4.5 mi)/(6 mi/h) = 4.5/6 h = 3/4 h

In 3/4 hour they will be 4.5 miles apart.

If sin(x) = 1/3 and sec(y) = 25/24 , where x and y lie between 0 and π/2, evaluate the expression using trigonometric identities
Dominik [7]
sin(x-y) = (24-14*sqrt(2))/75 Write down what you know sin(x) = 1/3 sec(y) = 25/24 cos(y) = 1/sec(y) = 24/25 cos(x) = sqrt(1-sin(x)^2) = sqrt(1-1/9) = sqrt(8/9) = 2*sqrt(2)/3 sin(y) = sqrt(1-cos(y)^2) = sqrt(1-576/625) = sqrt(49/625) = 7/25 We now know the sin and cos of both x and y. Now to get the sin of x-y. sin(x-y) = sin(x)cos(y) - cos(x)sin(y) Substitute the known values for sin and cos of x and y, then evaluate and simplify sin(x-y) = (1/3)(24/25) - (2*sqrt(2)/3)(7/25) sin(x-y) = 24/75 - 14*sqrt(2)/75 sin(x-y) = (24-14*sqrt(2))/75

A candy maker produces mints that have a label weight of 20.4 grams. Assume that the distribution of the weights of these mints
Sliva [168]

Answer:

a)0.099834

b) 0

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve for this question we would be using , z.score formula.

The formula for calculating a z-score is is z = (x-μ)/σ, where x is the raw score, μ is the population mean, and σ is the population standard deviation.

A candy maker produces mints that have a label weight of 20.4 grams. Assume that the distribution of the weights of these mints is normal with mean 21.37 and variance 0.16.

a) Find the probability that the weight of a single mint selected at random from the production line is less than 20.857 grams.

Standard Deviation = √variance

= √0.16 = 0.4

Standard deviation = 0.4

Mean = 21.37

x = 20.857

z = (x-μ)/σ

z = 20.857 - 21.37/0.4

z = -1.2825

P-value from Z-Table:

P(x<20.857) = 0.099834

b) During a shift, a sample of 100 mints is selected at random and weighed. Approximate the probability that in the selected sample there are at most 5 mints that weigh less than 20.857 grams.

z score formula used = (x-μ)/σ/√n

x = 20.857

Standard deviation = 0.4

Mean = 21.37

n = 100

z = 20.857 - 21.37/0.4/√100

= 20.857 - 21.37/ 0.4/10

= 20.857 - 21.37/ 0.04

= -12.825

P-value from Z-Table:

P(x<20.857) = 0

c) Find the approximate probability that the sample mean of the 100 mints selected is greater than 21.31 and less than 21.39.
