We know that ?T b = Kbx m
Where
?T b= elevation in boiling point
= boiling point of solution - boilinging point of pure solvent
= 81.84 - 80.1

= 1.74 °C
Kb = elevation in boiling point constant of benzene= 2.65 °C/m
m = molality of the solution
= ( mass / Molar mass ) / weight of the solvent in Kg
= (1.595 g/ M) / 0.015 kg
= 106.3/M
Plug the values we get M = 162 g/ mol

empirical formula is CH₂ it's mass is 12+2=14

N= molarmass/ empirical mass

N= 162/14

N~12

So molecular formula is 14(CH₂)= C₁₄H₂₈

Bonds of two atoms of equal electronegativity are nonpolar covalent bonds.

Your second sentence is identical to the first sentence; I'll bet the second sentence is "Bonds between two atoms that are unequally electronegative are polar covalent bonds."

Using your data above, draw conclusions about the d-splitting for each ligand (H2O, en, phen). Order the complexes from least to
Delvig [45]

Answer:

H2O<en<phen

Explanation:

The degree of d- splitting is observed from the intensity of colour. The order of d splitting from least to greatest is H2O<en<phen. Phen shows the greatest d-splitting. The degree of splitting of d- orbitals by ligands depends on their relative positions in the spectrochemical series. The spectrochemical series is an experimentally determined series. The series separates the ligands into strong field and weak field ligands. Strong field ligands are found towards the end of the series. Strong field ligands such as en and phen can participate in metal to ligand or ligand to metal pi-bonding. Hence they cause more d-splitting. Ethylendiamine and phenanthroline occur towards the end of the spectrochemical series hence the higher order of d-splitting.

A piece of limestone erodes due to acid rain. This process can be best described as a......
arsen [322]
Slow chemical change

It is a chemical change because the erosion is due to the chemical reaction between the acid and the in the rain and the calcium carbonate.

It is slow due to the concentration of acid is low.

How many g i2 should be added to 750g ccl4 to prepare a 0.200m solution?
vesna_86 [32]
<span>There are a number of ways to express concentration of a solution. This includes molality. Molality is expressed as the number of moles of solute per mass of the solvent. We calculate as follows:

0.200 mol I2 / kg CCl4 ( .750 kg CCl4 ) ( 253.809 g I2 / mol I2) = 38.07 g I2 needed

Hope this helps.

Nuclear power plants produce energy using fission. One common fuel, uranium-235, produces energy through the fission reaction 23
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

mass of U-235  = 15.9 g (3 sig. figures)

Explanation:

1 atom can produce -------------------------> 3.20 x 10^-11 J energy

x atoms can produce ----------------------> 1.30 x 10^12 J energy

x = 1.30 x 10^12 / 3.20 x 10^-11

x = 4.06 x 10^22 atoms

1 mol ----------------------> 6.023 x 10^23 atoms

y mol ----------------------> 4.06 x 10^22 atoms

y = 0.0675 moles

mass of U-235 = 0.0675 x 235 = 15.8625

mass of U-235  = 15.9 g (3 sig. figures)
