The molar mass of Pb(NO₃)₂ can be calculated taking the atomic masses of the individual elements
molar masses of the elements
Pb - 207 g/mol
N - 14 g/mol
O - 16 g/mol
molar mass of the compound is the sum of the products of the molar masses by the number of atoms
Pb(NO₃)₂ - 1 x 207 g/mol + 2 x 14 g/mol + 6 x 16 g/mol = 331 g/mol
the mass of 1 mol of Pb(NO₃)₂ has a mass of 331 g
1 mol of Pb(NO₃)₂ contains 6 mol of O
mass of O in 1 mol of Pb(NO₃)₂ is - 96 g
mass percentage of O = mass of O / mass of Pb(NO₃)₂ x 100%
mass % = 96 g / 331 g x 100 % = 29.0 %
mass percentage of O is 29.0%

Question 17 In the Haber reaction, patented by German chemist Fritz Haber in 1908, dinitrogen gas combines with dihydrogen gas t
mars1129 [50]

Answer:

Explanation:

N₂       + 3H₂     =     2 NH₃

1 vol                         2 vol

786 liters               1572 liters

786 liters of dinitrogen will result in the production of 1572 liters of ammonia

volume of ammonia V₁ = 1572 liters

temperature T₁ = 222 + 273 = 495 K

pressure = .35 atm

We shall find this volume at NTP

volume V₂ = ?

pressure = 1 atm

temperature T₂ = 273

\frac{P_1V_1}{T_1} =\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}

\frac{.35\times 1572}{495} =\frac{1\times V_2}{ 273 }

V_2 =303.44 liter .

mol weight of ammonia = 17

At NTP mass of 22.4 liter of ammonia will have mass of 17 gm

mass of 303.44 liter of ammonia will be equal to (303.44 x 17) / 22.4 gm

= 230.28 gm

=.23 kg / sec .

Rate of production of ammonia = .23 kg /s .

which intensive physical property is observed when droppings of a person seated inside a closed room has able to reach a person
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

The right response will be "Speed".

Explanation:

  • Intensive or Individualized physical property becomes found when "speed" seems to be the excrement of either an individual who sits within a closed or contained environment that can hit a person one meter away after sneezing or coughing.
  • This measure seems to be "meter per second", its a intense property.

How many electrons in an atom can have each of the following quantum number or sublevel designations? (a) 4p (b) n = 3, l = 1, m
leonid [27]

Answer:

a) Six electrons

b) Two electrons

c) Fourteen electrons

Explanation:

n is the principal quantum number and defines the energy level of orbital. The shape of the orbital is described by azimuthal quantum number (l) and it also determine the angular momentum. It values give the following information

l = 0, define s orbital (single orbital)

l = 1, define p orbitals (three orbitals)

l = 2, define d orbitals (five orbitals)

l = 3, define f orbitals (seven orbitals)

These are further specified by magnetic quantum number (ml) which gives the orientation of the orbital. Its value ranges from +1 to -1, for example ml value of five d orbitals are +2, +1, 0, -1, -2. From this information we can predict the number of electrons that will have the given sub-level designations

a) n = 4 and orbital is p, there are three p orbitals as the ml is not defined, so six electrons will have this quantum number

b) In this part, the orbital is defined i.e. ml = +1. A single orbital can have only two electrons, so these electrons will have the given quantum number.

c) l = 3, is for f orbital, which have seven orbitals. The total number of electrons in it is fourteen. All of these electrons will have this quantum number.
