You can do anything you put your mind too.  Start out with baby steps and work your way up to a healthy diet.

You should tell them that you believe this will be beneficial for the person and their health. And that eating healthy food is not too hard, do this with them and tell them for every week you both eat healthy together you can get a treat of junk food together.

Can light cause the rubber to become solid? Why or why not? Does it matter what type of light she shines on the rubber?
ELEN [110]

Answer:

Yes, ultraviolet light can turn a rubber into solid due to prolong exposure.

Explanation:

A rubber is a material with an elastic property, causing it to be deform by an external force but takes its shape when the force is removed. Light is an electromagnetic wave which causes the sensation of vision. It transfers energy to a medium during propagation through the medium.

Generally, most light do not cause hardness of a rubber. But an ultraviolet light can cause rubber to become solid over a period of time. This is possible if there is a prolong exposure of the rubber, and because of the evaporation of volatiles in the polymer material. Ultraviolet light are known to cause a rubber to become solid.

A pet-store supply truck moves at 25.0 m/s north along a highway. inside, a dog moves at 1.75 m/s at an angle of 35.0° east of
koban [17]

<u>Answer:</u>

 Velocity of the dog relative to the road = 26.04 m/s 3.15⁰ north of east.

<u>Explanation:</u>

  Let the east point towards positive X-axis and north point towards positive Y-axis.

  Speed of truck = 25 m/s north = 25 j m/s

  Speed of dog = 1.75 m/s at an angle of 35.0° east of north = (1.75 cos 35 i + 1.75 sin 35 j)m/s

                          = (1.43 i + 1.00 j) m/s

    Velocity of the dog relative to the road = 25 j + 1.43 i + 1.00 j = 1.43 i + 26.00 j

    Magnitude of velocity = 26.04 m/s

    Angle from positive horizontal axis = 86.85⁰

 So Velocity of the dog relative to the road = 26.04 m/s 86.85⁰ east of north = 26.04 m/s 3.15⁰ north of east.

A convex mirror with a focal length of 0.25 m forms a 0.080 m tall image of an automobile at a distance of 0.24 m behind the mir
Semmy [17]

Answer:

The distance and height of the object  is 6 m and 2 m.

The image is virtual and upright.

Explanation:

Given that,

Focal length = 0.25 m

Length of image = 0.080 m

Image distance = 0.24 m

We need to calculate the distance of the object

Using formula of lens

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{f}+\dfrac{1}{u}

Put the value into the formula

\dfrac{1}{0.24}=\dfrac{1}{0.25}+\dfrac{1}{u}

\dfrac{1}{u}=\dfrac{1}{0.24}-\dfrac{1}{0.25}

\dfrac{1}{u}=\dfrac{1}{6}

u=6\ m

We need to calculate the magnification

Using formula of magnification

m=-\dfrac{v}{u}

Put the value into the formula

m=-\dfrac{0.24}{-6}

m=0.04

We need to calculate the height of the object

Using formula of magnification

m=\dfrac{h'}{h}

h=\dfrac{0.080}{0.04}

h=2\ m

A convex mirror produce a virtual and upright image behind the mirror.

Hence, The distance and height of the object  is 6 m and 2 m.

The image is virtual and upright.
