Power = (work done) / (time to do the work) <== <u>Memorize this</u> !

When you use this formula, the work done has to be in units of <em>Joules,</em> and the time to do the work has to be in units of <em>seconds</em>.

Power = (2500 J) / (1 minute)

Power = (2500 J) / (60 seconds)

Power = (2500/60) (J/sec)

<em>Power = 41.67 watts</em>

A particle is in uniform circular motion. Assume a standard rtz coordinate system. If you deconstruct the net force acting on th
Kitty [74]

Answer:

a) One

Explanation:

In a uniform circular motion there must be a force acting to keep it in the circular track. This force can either be centripetal or a centrifugal force.

According to the Newton's first law of motion a particle continues to be in state of rest or in uniform motion until acted upon by an external force.

Here the term uniform motion need to be understood which refers to the uniform velocity of the particle in accordance to the vector laws.

A boy on a bicycle approaches a brick wall as he sounds his horn at a frequency 400 hz. the sound he hears reflected back from t
Mashutka [201]
As the question is about changing in frequency of a wave for an observer who is moving relative to the wave source, the concept that should come to our minds is "Doppler's effect."

Now the general formula of the Doppler's effect is:
f = (\frac{g + v_{r}}{g + v_{s}})f_{o} -- (A)

Note: We do not need to worry about the signs, as everything is moving towards each other. If something/somebody were moving away, we would have the negative sign. However, in this problem it is not the issue.

Where,
g = Speed of sound = 340m/s.
v_{r} = Velocity of the receiver/observer relative to the medium = ?.
v_{s} = Velocity of the source with respect to medium = 0 m/s.
f_{o} =  Frequency emitted from source = 400 Hz.
f = Observed frequency = 408Hz.

Plug-in the above values in the equation (A), you would get:

408 = ( \frac{340 + v_{r}}{340 + 0})*400

\frac{408}{400} =  \frac{340 + v_{r}}{340}

Solving above would give you,
v_{r} = 6.8 m/s

The correct answer = 6.8m/s

A non-conducting sphere of radius R = 3.0 cm carries a charge Q = 2.0 mC distributed uniformly throughout its volume. At what di
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

r =3 *\sqrt{2} = 4.24 cm

Explanation:

given data

Radius of sphere 3.0 cm

charge Q = 2.0 m C

We know that maximum electric field is given as

E_{MAX}= \frac{KQ}{r^{2}}

electric field inside the sphere can be determine by using below relation

\frac{KQ}{r^{2}}= \frac{1}{2}*\frac{KQ}{R^{2}}

r = \sqrt{2}R

r =3 *\sqrt{2} = 4.24 cm

The process of changing a property of a wave to transmit information is called .
BARSIC [14]

Answer : The process of changing a property of a wave to transmit information is called Modulation.

Explanation :

Modulation is the process of changing the property of wave to transmit information. This is done with the help of modulator.

In modulation, the message signal is superimposed on a high frequency signal. A sine wave ( usually high frequency ) is used as a high frequency carrier wave.

Modulation can be done in many ways like :

(1) Frequency modulation

(2) Amplitude modulation

(3) Pulse modulation
