A truck moving at 36 m/s passes a police car moving at 45 m/s in the opposite direction. If the frequency of the siren is 500 Hz

relative to the police car, what is the change in frequency (in Hz) heard by an observer in the truck as the two vehicles pass each other?

Answer:

The change in frequency hearded by an observer in the truck is f'= 636.36 Hz.

Explanation:

Vo= 36 m/s

Vf= 45 m/s

V= 342 m/s

f= 500 Hz

f'= f * ((V- (-Vo)) / (V - Vf)

f'= 636.36 Hz

If the rocket has an initial mass of 6300 kg and ejects gas at a relative velocity of magnitude 2000 m/s , how much gas must it
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

The amount of gas that is to be released in the first second in other to attain an acceleration of  27.0 m/s2  is

      \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}   = 83.92 \ Kg/s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The mass of the rocket is m = 6300 kg

   The velocity at gas is being ejected is  u =  2000 m/s

    The initial acceleration desired is a =  27.0 \  m/s

   The time taken for  the gas to be ejected is  t = 1 s

Generally this desired acceleration is mathematically represented as

        a = \frac{u *  \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t} }{M -\frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}* t}

Here \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t }  is the rate at which gas is being ejected with respect to time

Substituting values

      27 = \frac{2000 *  \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t} }{6300 -\frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}* 1}

=>   170100 -27* \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t} = 2000 *  \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}

=>   170100  = 2027 *  \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}

=>   \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}   = \frac{170100}{2027}

=>   \frac{\Delta m}{\Delta t}   = 83.92 \ Kg/s

3. You are walking in Paris alongside the Eiffel Tower and suddenly a croissant smacks you on the head and knocks you to the gro
Elza [17]

As absurd as the concept is, we must assume that a croissant
can fall 300.5 meters through the moisture-laden, perfumed and
polluted Parisian air with no air resistance whatsoever.

Acceleration due to gravity on Earth:  9.8 m/s²

Distance in clean,
unimpeded free-fall         = (1/2) (acceleration) x (time²)

                                            300.5 m  =  (1/2)  (9.8 m/s²) (T²)
Divide each side
by (4.9 m/s²):                  (300.5 m) / (4.9 m/s²)  =  T²

Take the square root
of each side:                     T = √(300.5/4.9) (s²)

                                                               =  7.831 seconds .

When the wind kicks up dust and sand, the dust grains are charged. The small grains tend to get a negative charge, and the large
diamong [38]

Answer:

Explanation:

Small grains are negatively charged by the wind while big grains is positively charged and remains at the ground . This process creates an electric field due to the presence of oppositely charged particles.

When ever electric field exists it is directed from a positive charge to a negative charge so the here electric field is towards an upwards direction.

briefly discuss the phenomenon of childhood maltreatment in the context of five different psychological perspectives
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

Child maltreatment or child abuse is a phenomenon of sexual, physical,  and/or psychological abuse of children.

Five different psychological perspectives of childhood maltreatment are as follows:

  • Poverty is one of the biggest cause of childhood maltreatment that impact once psychological health.
  • Child do not get proper care from their parents.
  • Childrens are emotionally weak and anything negative thought can depress them.
  • Lack of communication sometimes make children underconfident.
  • Social descrimination on the basis of race and gender can impact a child psychological balance.
