1.12kg

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Volume of helium blimp = 6.28 x 10⁹mm

Density of helium in the blimp = 0.1786g/cm³

Unknown:

Mass of helium in the blimp = ?

Solution:

Density is defined as the mass per given volume of a substance.

   Density = \frac{mass}{volume}

We need to convert the volume to a unit we can work with which is cm³

        1000L = 1cm³

       1mL = 10⁻³L or

        1000mL   = 1L

   6.28 x 10⁹mL  =          \frac{6.28 x 10^{9} }{1000}

                           =      6.28 x 10⁶L

     since 1000L = 1cm³

              6.28 x 10⁶L gives   \frac{6.28 x 10^{6} }{1000}

                            = 6.28 x 10³cm³

 Mass = density x volume = 0.1786 x 6.28 x 10³m³ = 1121.608g or 1.12kg

Answer: 1.12×10^6 Kg

Explanation:

Given volume = 6.28*10^9 mL

= 6.28*10^6 L ............. (1)

Also, we are given specific density of helium = 0.1786

Specific density of helium = density of helium/density of water

0.1786 = density of helium/1000 Kg/m3

Density of helium = 0.1786*1000 Kg/m3

= 178.6 Kg/m3

Since 1000L = 1 m3

Density of helium =178.6/1000 Kg/L

Density of helium = 0.1786 Kg/L ...(2)

Hence,

Density = Mass/Volume

Mass = Density × Volume

Sub. Equation (1) and (2)

Mass = 6.28×10^6 ×0.1786 Kg

Mass = 1.12 ×10^6 Kg

If you perform the experiment described in investigation #15 by mixing 10 g of glue with 13 g of water and 8 g of sodium borate
Phantasy [73]

10 g of glue with 13 g of water ,

Mass ratio of the material can be calculated as:

\frac{Mass of glue}{Mass of glue + Mass of water}

\frac{10 g}{10 g + 13 g }

\frac{10 g}{23 g }

8 g of sodium borate suspended in 11 g of water, mass ratio can be calculated as:

\frac{Mass of sodium borate}{Mass of sodium borate + Mass of water}

\frac{ 8 g}{ 8 g + 11 g }

\frac{8 g}{19 g }

Helium is a very important element for both industrial and research applications. In its gas form it can be used for welding, an
pentagon [3]

Answer:

P = 20.1697 atm

Explanation:

In this case we need to use the ideal gas equation which is:

PV = nRT (1)

Where:

P: Pressure (atm)

V: Volume (L)

n: moles

R: universal gas constant (=0.082 L atm / K mol)

T: Temperature

From here, we can solve for pressure:

P = nRT/V  (2)

According to the given data, we have the temperature (T = 20 °C, transformed in Kelvin is 293 K), the moles (n = 125 moles), and we just need the volume. But the volume can be calculated using the data of the cylinder dimensions.

The volume for any cylinder would be:

V = πr²h  (3)

Replacing the data here, we can solve for the volume:

V = π * (17)² * 164

V = 148,898.93 cm³

This volume converted in Liters would be:

V = 148,898.93 mL * 1 L / 1000 mL

V = 148.899 L

Now we can solve for pressure:

P = 125 * 0.082 * 293 / 148.899

<h2>P = 20.1697 atm</h2>

For the reaction: MgF2(s) ⇌ Mg2+(aq) + 2F- (aq), Ksp= 6.4 × 10-9, the addition of 0.10 M NaF to the solution cause what effect o
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

Shifts the equilibrium to the left. reduces solubility.

Explanation:

  • MgF2(s) ↔ Mg2+(aq) + 2F-(aq)

          S                   S              2S

∴ Ksp = 6.4 E-9 = [ Mg2+ ] * [ F- ]² = S * (2S)²

⇒ 4S² * S = 6.4 E-9

⇒ 4S³ = 6.4 E-9

⇒ S³ = 1.6 E-9

⇒ S = 1.1696 E-3 M

  • NaF(s) → Na+(aq)  +  F-(aq)

        0.10M     0.10M        0.10M

  • MgF2(s) ↔ Mg2+(aq)  + 2F-(aq)

          S'                 S'              2S' + 0.10

⇒ Ksp = 6.4 E-9 = (S')*(2S' + 0.10)²

If we compare the concentration (0.10 M) of the ion with Ksp ( 6.4 E-9 ); thne we can neglect S' as adding:

⇒ 6.4 E-9 = (S')*(0.10)² = 0.01S'

⇒ S' = 6.4 E-7 M

∴ % S' = ( 6.4 E-7 / 0.1 )*100 = 6.4 E-4% <<< 5%, we can make the assumption

We can observe that S >> S' ( 1.1696 E-3 M >> 6.4 E-7 M ), which shows that the solubility  is reduced by the efect of the common ion from the salt, which causes the equilibrium to shift to the left, precipitating part of MgF2(s).
