Pool 1 will be drained out just over a minute before pool 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Pool 1

"Then I will need an average quality score of <u>3.28</u>  to meet 85.28 goal."

<u>Step-by-step explanation</u>:

  • current average quality score = 82
  • improvement on average quality score = 4% of 82

⇒ (4/100)\times82

⇒ 82/25

⇒ 3.28

The improved average quality score = 82+3.28 = 85.28

The employee needs an average quality score of 3.28 to meet the goal of 85.28

We want to estimate the population mean within 5, with a 99% level of confidence. the population standard deviation is estimated
pashok25 [27]
A sample size of 60 is required.

We use the formula
n=(\frac{z*\sigma}{E})^2

We first find the z-score associated with this level of confidence:
Convert 99% to a decimal:  99/100 = 0.99
Subtract from 1:  1-0.99 = 0.01
Divide by 2:  0.01/2 = 0.005
Subtract from 1:  1-0.005 = 0.995

Using a z-table (http://www.z-table.com) we see that this value is equally distant from 2.57 and 2.58; therefore we will use 2.575:

n=(\frac{15(2.575)}{5})^2=59.68\approx60

If 40% of a number is 32, what is 25% of that number?
Mekhanik [1.2K]
Well what I would do is split the 40% into 20% so from 40% to 20% that is /2. So 32/2=16 so 20% of a number is 16, we know there is 5, 20% in 100% so multiply 16 and 5 which gives you 80. Now 25% of 80 is the same as 80*.25 or 80/4 which is 20
