This question is incomplete. The complete question is given below:

Question 3 Both the angle and the magnitude of the force have a certain uncertainty: εF = 28 N and εθ = 0.8°. Using the propagation methods described in the video you watched at the beginning of this prelab, calculate the corresponding propagated uncertainty for Fx, in N. For this question, round up your final answer to two significant figures. Do not include the ± sign in your answer. Example: If the x component of F is 200±14 N, you should enter “14”.

Both the force and the angle are measured, and the results are quoted as a central value plus/minus an uncertainty:

F = F0 ±  εF

θ = θ0 ± εθ

We would like to evaluate the component of the force in the x direction.

Question 2

Let us first concentrate on the central value. Take F0 = 325 N and θ0 = 57°.

The answer & explanation for this question is given in the attachment below.

You start with spring that's already been stretched an unknown amount from equilibrium. After stretching it an additional 2.0 cm
maxonik [38]

Answer: 35*10^3 N/m

Explanation: In order to explain this problem we know that the potential energy for spring is given by:

Up=1/2*k*x^2 where k is the spring constant and x is the streching or compresion position from the equilibrium point for the spring.

We  also know that with additional streching of 2 cm of teh spring,  the potential energy is 18J. Then it applied another additional streching of 2 cm and the energy is 25J.

Then the difference of energy for both cases is 7 J so:

ΔUp= 1/2*k* (0.02)^2 then

k=2*7/(0.02)^2=35000 N/m

A hot piece of iron is thrown into the ocean and its temperature eventually stabilizes. Which of the following statements concer
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

E. The ocean gains more entropy than the iron loses.

Explanation:

When there is a spontaneous process , entropy of the system increases . Here hot iron is losing entropy and ocean is gaining entropy . Net effect will be gain of entropy . That means entropy gained by ocean is more than entropy lost by iron .

Hence option E is correct .

A block of size 20m x 10 mx 5 m exerts a force of 30N. Calculate the
Orlov [11]

Answer:

We know that force applied per unit area is called pressure.

Pressure = Force/ Area

When force is constant than pressure is inversely proportional to area.

1- Calculating the area of three face:

A1 = 20m x 10 m =200 Square meter

A2 = 10 mx 5 m = 50 Square meter

A3 = 20m x 5 m = 100 Square meter

Therefore A1 is maximum and A2 is minimum.

2- Calculate pressure:

P = F/ A1 = 30 / 200 = 0.15 Nm⁻²  ( minimum pressure)

P = F / A2 = 30 / 50 = 0.6 Nm⁻²   ( maximum pressure)

Hence greater the area less will be the pressure and vice versa.
