You have a device that needs a voltage reference of 3.0 V, but you have only a 9.0 V battery. Fortunately, you also have several

10 k!1 resistors. Show how you can use the resistors and the battery to make a circuit that provides a potential difference of3.0 V.

Answer:

Explanation:

Solution:

- We are to develop a circuit that has an input of available battery 9.0 V and has an output potential difference of 3.0 V

- We are given:

             Battery ..... 9.0 V

             Resistors ... 10 Kohms

- We will develop a potential divider circuit by placing a few resistors in series and then connecting in between resistors to get our desired voltage.

- How many resistors should we use ?

  We know that if we add series resistance in a circuit the current decreases proportionally. However, the potential difference across resistors also changes.

- Our desired voltage is a ratio of input battery voltage.

                                   Input / Output = 9 / 3 = 3

We can use this ratio as the number of "Identical resistors" that can be placed in series to give us the desired voltage. Note: This would not be true if we did not had any identical resistors.

- We will place 3, 10 Kohms resistors in series.

- To verify we will calculate the potential difference across each resistor. The current of the total circuit is:

                                   I = V / R_eq

                                   R_eq = 3*R = 30 kohms

                                   I = 9 / 30,000 = 0.0003 Amps

- Now the potential difference for each resistor:

                                   V = I*R_each

                                   V = 0.0003*(10,000)

                                   V = 3.0 V

- We can take two leads across any 10 kohms resistor and the potential difference across the leads would be the desired voltage 3.0 V.

Given Information:

Input voltage = Vin = 9 V

Resistors = R = 10 kΩ each

Output voltage = Vout = 3 V

Required Information:

How many 10 kΩ resistors would it take = ?

Answer:

It would take three 10 kΩ resistors

Explanation:

We can make a voltage divider circuit that contains 3 resistors in series each having a value of 10 kΩ that will provide the desired voltage of 3 V.

Vout = Vin(R/Req)

If we choose 3 resistors of 10 kΩ each

Req = 10 + 10 + 10 = 30 kΩ

Vout = 9(10/30)

Vout = 9(1/3)

Vout = 3 V

Therefore, we would need three 10 kΩ resistors to get the desired voltage of 3 V.

Odległość między kolejnymi grzbietami fal na morzu wynosi 20 m. Łódź opada z grzbietu fali, unosi się i osiąga ponownie najwyższ
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

The distance between successive wave crests at sea is 20 m. The boat descends from the crest of the wave, rises and reaches the highest position again within 5 s. Calculate the wave propagation speed.

Given that,

The distance between two successive crest is 20m

Wavelength is the distance between two successive crest or trough

Then, it's wavelength is λ = 20m

The time to reached the maximum height is 5seconds, then it will take (5×4) to complete one period

Then,

Period T = 20seconds

From wave equation

v = fλ

Where

v is speed

f is frequency and

λ is wavelength

The frequency is related to the period

f =  1 / T

Then,

v = λ / T

So, v = 20 / 20

v = 1 m/s

The speed of propagation of the wave is 1m/s

To Polish

Jeśli się uwzględni,

Odległość między dwoma kolejnymi grzebieniami wynosi 20 m

Długość fali to odległość między dwoma kolejnymi grzebieniami lub dolinami

Zatem jego długość fali wynosi λ = 20 m

Czas do osiągnięcia maksymalnej wysokości wynosi 5 sekund, a następnie ukończenie jednego okresu zajmie (5 × 4)

Następnie,

Okres T = 20 sekund

Z równania falowego

v = fλ

Gdzie

v to prędkość

f oznacza częstotliwość, a

λ jest długością fali

Częstotliwość jest związana z okresem

f = 1 / T

Następnie,

v = λ / T

Zatem v = 20/20

v = 1 m / s

Prędkość propagacji fali wynosi 1m/s

In a certain region of space, a uniform electric field has a magnitude of 4.30 x 104 n/c and points in the positive x direction.
denis23 [38]
The magnetic force exerted by a field E to a charge q is given by F=Eq. In this case, F=4.30*10^4*(6.80mu C). 1mu C=10^-6C, so F=4.30*6.80=10^-2=0.29N. The direction is in the x direction, the direction that the field is applied because the charge is positive.

ankoles [38]

Answer:

F = - 59.375 N

Explanation:

GIVEN DATA:

Initial velocity = 11 m/s

final velocity = 1.5 m/s

let force be F

work done =  mass* F = 4*F

we know that

Change in kinetic energy = work done

kinetic energy = = \frac{1}{2}*m*(v_{2}^{2}-v_{1}^{2})

kinetic energy = = \frac{1}{2}*4*(1.5^{2}-11^{2}) = -237.5 kg m/s2

-237.5 = 4*F

F = - 59.375 N

Answer:

Explanation:

To convert gram / centimeter³ to kg / m³

gram / centimeter³

= 10⁻³ kg / centimeter³

= 10⁻³  / (10⁻²)³ kg / m³

= 10⁻³ / 10⁻⁶ kg / m³

= 10⁻³⁺⁶ kg / m³

= 10³ kg / m³

So we shall have to multiply be 10³ with amount in gm / cm³ to convert it into kg/m³

2.33 gram / cm³

= 2.33 x 10³ kg / m³ .

You are target shooting using a toy gun that fires a small ball at a speed of 15 m/s. When the gun is fired at an angle of 31 de
Ray Of Light [21]

Answer: 13.1° from the horizontal

Explanation: For projectile

Horizontal distance R of a projectile is:

R= U×Usin2x/g

Where U is the speed of projectile, x is angle of projectile and g= acceleration due to gravity=9.8m/s

R= 15×15sin(2×31)/9.8= 225sin(62)/9.8=20.27m

Therefore if R is halved.

R/2 = 20.27/2=10.14m

Hence the angle for this case is.

Making sin(2x) the subject of formula

Sin2x= Rg/U×U

R is now 10.14 in this case.

Sin2x= 10.14×9.8/15×15=0.4415

2x=arcsin0.4415=26.2

x= 26.2/2

x= 13.1°

Good luck...
