Answer:

The charges on the plates,

Explanation:

A capacitor is an electronic device that can be used for storing of charges. A parallel plate capacitor consists of two plates of equal area separated by a dielectric constant. The energy stored in the capacitor is in the form of potential energy which comes into play during the discharging process of the capacitor.

The energy stored depends majorly on the voltage, area of the plates, distance between the plates and the nature of the dielectric constant of the material between the plates. But it does not depend on the charges on the plates.

a torch bulb is rated 2.5V and 750mA. Calculate its power,its resistance and the energy consumed if this bulb lighted for 4 hour
Hatshy [7]
Using Ohm's Law, we can derived from this the value of resistance. If I=V/R, therefore, R = V/I
Substituting the values to the given,
P = Power = ?
R = Resistance = ?
V = Voltage = 2.5 V
I = Current = 750 mA

R = V/I = 2.5/ (750 x 10^-3)
R = 3.33 ohms

Calculating the power, we have P = IV

P = (750 x 10^-3)(2.5)
P = 1.875 W

The power consumption is the power consumed multiply by the number of hours. In here, we have;
1.875W x 4 hours = 7.5 watt-hours

The amount of pressure required to move a 6800 lb force with a 6" d piston is ___ psi.
Katena32 [7]
The pressure needed in PSI = Pounds of force needed divided by the cylinder Area
The Cylinder rod Area is 21.19  sq inches
Thus, the pressure= 6800/21.19
                              = 320.91 PSI

A 1000.–kilogram car traveling 20.0 meters per second east experiences an impulse of 2000. newton • seconds west. What is the fi
emmainna [20.7K]
Impulse is equal to change in momentum. So if impulse is 2000 then to solve for new velocity we just set it equal to equation for momentum.

First find original momentum by p=mv
p=1000*20=20000

So then taking that value minus the impulse since it was in opposite direction of original momentum it will slow it down some. To find new velocity we just take

20000-2000=18000=mv

v=18000/1000 =18m/s

Hope this helps!! Any questions please ask!!
Thank you!
