A bar magnet is dropped from above and falls through the loop of wire. The north pole of the bar magnet points downward towards

the page as it falls. Which statement is correct?a. The current in the loop always flows in a clockwise direction. b·The current in the loop always flows in a counterclockwise direction. c. The current in the loop flows first in a clockwise, then in a counterclockwise direction. d. The current in the loop flows first in a counterclockwise, then in a clockwise direction. e. Answer:

<em>b. The current in the loop always flows in a counterclockwise direction.</em>

<em></em>

Explanation:

When a magnet falls through a loop of wire, it induces an induced current on the loop of wire. This induced current is due to the motion of the magnet through the loop, which cause a change in the flux linkage of the magnet. According to Lenz law, the induced current acts in such a way as to repel the force or action that produces it. For this magnet, the only opposition possible is to stop its fall by inducing a like pole on the wire loop to repel its motion down. An induced current that flows counterclockwise in the wire loop has a polarity that is equivalent to a north pole on a magnet, and this will try to repel the motion of the magnet through the coil. Also, when the magnet goes pass the wire loop, this induced north pole will try to attract the south end of the magnet, all in a bid to stop its motion downwards.

For the first 10 seconds a squirrel runs 3 m/s to look for an acorn. The next 5 seconds he eats an acorn that he finds. Afterwar
Gala2k [10]

Distance covered by the squirrel to look for an acorn :

d = ( 3 m/s ) × 10 s = 30 m.

Time taken to eat an Acron is 5 seconds.

Time taken to cover distance of 30 m with 2 m/s speed is :

T=\dfrac{30}{2}\ s= 15 \ s

Therefore, total time take to  get back to where he started is ( 10+5+15 ) = 30 s.

Hence, this is the required solution.

Answer:

The bomb will remain in air for <u>17.5 s</u> before hitting the ground.

Explanation:

Given:

Initial vertical height is, y_0=1500\ m

Initial horizontal velocity is, u_x=688\ m/s

Initial vertical velocity is, u_y=0(\textrm{Horizontal velocity only initially)}

Let the time taken by the bomb to reach the ground be 't'.

So, consider the equation of motion of the bomb in the vertical direction.

The displacement of the bomb vertically is S=y-y_0=0-1500=-1500\ m

Acceleration in the vertical direction is due to gravity, g=-9.8\ m/s^2

Therefore, the displacement of the bomb is given as:

S=u_yt+\frac{1}{2}gt^2\\-1500=0-\frac{1}{2}(9.8)(t^2)\\1500=4.9t^2\\t^2=\frac{1500}{4.9}\\t=\sqrt{\frac{1500}{4.9}}=17.5\ s

So, the bomb will remain in air for 17.5 s before hitting the ground.

jekas [21]

The question is incomplete, the concentration of qam and humulin is not given unless R is used concentration

Complete question:

A physician orders Humulin 50/50 44 units and Humulin N 40 units qam and Humulin R 35 units ac evening meal subcutaneously. How many total units of insulin are administered each morning?

Answer:

the total units of insulin admistered each morning

= 22 units of qam and humulin

Explanation:

given

44 units and Humnlin N

with concentration 50/100 = 1/2 = 0.5

∴ 44 × 0.5 ≈ 22 units in the morning

regular insulin administered each day

(22 + 35)units of qam and humulin

= 57units
