How many σ and π bonds are in this molecule? A chain of five carbon atoms. There is a double bond between the first and second c
kati45 [8]

Answer:

Sigma bonds: 10

Pi bonds: 4

Explanation:

The compound described must be CH2=CH-CO-CH≡CH. If we look at the compound closely, we will notice that there are 10 sigma bonds and 4 pi bonds.

There are three pi bonds between carbon atoms and one pi bond between a carbon and an oxygen atom (C=O). All these can easily be seen in the structure of the formula chosen in this answer.

The acid-dissociation constant, ka, for gallic acid is 4.57 ⋅ 10-3. what is the base-dissociation constant, kb, for the gallate
LiRa [457]
Hello!

To determine the Kb of gallic acid is actually very simple.

The dissociation reaction of Gallic Acid (HGal) is the following:

HGal+H₂O ⇄ H₃O⁺ + Gal⁻

The equation for converting from Ka to Kb is the following:

Ka*Kb=Kw \\  \\ Kb= \frac{Kw}{Ka}= \frac{1*10^{-14} }{4,57*10^{-3} }=2,19 * 10^{-12}

So, the Kb is 2,19*10⁻¹²

Have a nice day!

In a chemical reaction that takes place at a fixed pressure and volume, the enthalpy change (ΔH) is –585 kJ/mol. Will this react
Molodets [167]

by sign convention ΔH is negative it means an exothermic reaction where the heat is lose so the temperature decreases.

Anna11 [10]
M=D*V
D=620 g/cm³
V=75 cm³

m= 620 g/cm³ * 75 cm³=46500 g
