∠C and  ∠D are equal.

so  −x+26 =2x-10

-3x=-36

x=36/3

x=12°

∠D= 2x-10

put value of x here

∠D=24-10

∠D=14°

If one row in an echelon form of an augmented matrix is left bracket Start 1 By 5 Matrix 1st Row 1st Column 0 2nd Column 0 3rd C
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

Inconsistent - TRUE

Step-by-step explanation:

A system of linear equation is said to be inconsistent if it has no solution. that is from the graph, the lines does not intersect compared to a consistent equations that has solutions and intersect on the graph.

From the written augmented matrix = ( 0)

                                                               ( 0)

                                                               ( 0)

                                                               ( 5)

                                                               ( 0)

from the second row of the matrix, it is evident that it has no solutions hence INCOSISTENT

Which is the best approximation for the solution of the system of equations? y = A system of equations. y equals negative StartF
Alla [95]

Answer:

(0.88, 0.65)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the two equations of the line are:

y =( -2/5)x + 1 and  y = 3x – 2. To find the solution, we have to solve the equations simultaneously.

y =( -2/5)x + 1       .             .            .      1)

y = 3x – 2             .            .             .      2)

Subtracting equation 1 from equation 2:

3.4x -3 = 0

3.4x = 3

Dividing through by 3.4

3.4x/3.4 = 3/3.4

x = 0.88

To find y, substitute x = 0.88 in equation 2:

y = 3(0.88) - 2

y = 2.65 - 2

y = 0.65

This means that the solution to the system of equations is the point of intersection of the two lines which is at (0.88, 0.65)

Lesson 1-1: The periodic comet named Johnson has been seen at every return since its discovery in 1949, as shown in the table be
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Occurrence                 Year seen          Difference

1                                      1949                       -

2                                     1956               1956 - 1949 = 7

3                                     1963               1963 - 1956 = 7

4                                     1970                1970 - 1963 = 7

Difference between each successive term of year seen = 7 years

Therefore, there is a common difference of 7 years between each successive term.

Function defining the year seen will be a linear function and will increase in the same pattern. (multiple of 7 years)

2017 - 1970 = 47 (It's not the multiple of 7)

2018 - 1970 = 48 (It's not the multiple of 7)

2019 - 1970 = 49 (multiple of 7)

2020 - 1970 = 50 (It's not the multiple of 7)

Therefore, comet will be seen next in 2019.

Option (C) will be the answer.

If a person is born in 2005

Then difference between 2005 and 1949 = 56 years

Number of times comet seen after 1949 = \frac{56}{7}=8 times

Total number of comet seen in the lifetime = 8 times

A botanist predicts that the height of a certain tree will increase by 2% every year. If the height of the tree is now 50 feet,
Neporo4naja [7]
To answer this kinda question, we gotta tackle it year by year.
By the end of the first year, the tree would grow by 2% = 102% of its original height.
Year 1: 102% x 50 = 51 feet
Year 2: 103% x 51 = 52.02 feet

Hope I helped!! xx

Sales tax is a function of the price of an item. The amount of sales tax is 0.08 times the price of the item. Use h to represent
Margaret [11]

Option C:

h(x) = 0.08x

Solution:

Given data:

Sales tax is a function of the price of an item.

Let h be the function.

Take x be the price of an item.

Amount of sales tax = 0.08 times price of the item

                                  = 0.08 × x

Amount of sales tax = 0.08x

⇒ h(x) = 0.08x

Hence the function is h(x) = 0.08x.

Option C is the correct answer.
