The density of a material is constant and it is given by the ratio of the mass to the volume of the material

The mass of the liquid and the full bottle ae

The mass of the liquid is <u>450 g</u>

The mass of the filled bottle is <u>530 grams</u>

<u></u>

The reason the above values are correct are as follows:

The given parameters are;

Volume of the bottle, V = Half litre

Mass of the bottle, m_b = 80 g

The volume of liquid in the bottle when filled, V = 500 cm³

The density of the olive oil with which the bottle is filled, ρ = 0.9 g/cm³

a. Required:

To calculate the mass of oil in the bottle

Solution:

The volume of oil in the bottle when the bottle is filled, V = 500 cm³

Density, \ \rho = \dfrac{Mass}{Volume}  = \dfrac{m}{V}

The mass of the liquid, m = ρ × V

∴ m = 0.9 g/cm³ × 500 cm³ = 450 g

The mass of the liquid, m = <u>450 g</u>

<u></u>

b. The mass of the oil in the bottle, m = grams

The mass of the full bottle, m_{filled} = m + m_b

∴ m_{filled} = 450 g + 80 g = 530 g

The mass of the full bottle, m_{filled} = <u>530 grams</u>

A rocket moves upward, starting from rest with an acceleration of +29.4 for 3.98 s. it runs out of fuel at the end of the 3.98 s
topjm [15]
U = 0, initial upward speed
a = 29.4 m/s², acceleration up to 3.98 s
a = -9.8 m/s², acceleration after 3.98s

Let h₁ =  the height at time t, for t ≤ 3.98 s
Let h₂ =  the height at time t > 3.98 s

Motion for  t ≤ 3.98 s:
h₁ = (1/2)*(29.4 m/s²)*(3.98 s)² = 232.854 m
Calculate the upward velocity at t = 3.98 s
v₁ = (29.4 m/s²)*(3.98 s) = 117.012 m/s

Motion for t  > 3.98 s
At maximum height, the upward velocity is zero.
Calculate the extra distance traveled before the velocity is zero.
(117.012 m/s)² + 2*(-9.8 m/s²)*(h₂ m) = 0
h₂ = 698.562 m

The total height is
h₁ + h₂ = 232.854 + 698.562 = 931.416 m

Answer: 931.4 m (nearest tenth)

charge, q1 =5.00μC, is at the origin, a second charge, q2= -3μC, is on the x-axis 0.800m from the origin. find the electric fiel
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

Explanation:

Electric field due to charge at origin

= k Q / r²

k is a constant , Q is charge and r is distance

= 9 x 10⁹ x 5 x 10⁻⁶ / .5²

= 180 x 10³ N /C

In vector form

E₁ = 180 x 10³ j

Electric field due to q₂ charge

= 9 x 10⁹ x 3 x 10⁻⁶ /.5² + .8²

= 30.33 x 10³ N / C

It will have negative slope θ with x axis

Tan θ = .5 / √.5² + .8²

= .5 / .94

θ = 28°

E₂ = 30.33 x 10³ cos 28 i - 30.33 x 10³ sin28j

= 26.78 x 10³ i - 14.24 x 10³ j

Total electric field

E = E₁  + E₂

= 180 x 10³ j +26.78 x 10³ i - 14.24 x 10³ j

= 26.78 x 10³ i + 165.76 X 10³ j

magnitude

= √(26.78² + 165.76² ) x 10³ N /C

= 167.8 x 10³  N / C .

A woman with mass 50 kg is standing on the rim of a large horizontal disk that is rotating at 0.80 rev/s about an axis through i
irinina [24]

Answer:

Angular momentum of disc + woman is given as

L = 9759 kg m^2/s

Explanation:

As we know that the angular momentum of disc + woman is given as

L = (I_{disk} + I_{woman}) \omega

here we know for disk moment of inertia is given as

I_{disk} = \frac{1}{2}mR^2

I_{disk} = \frac{1}{2}(110)(4.3)^2 = 1017 kg m^2

similarly for woman we will have

I_{woman} = MR^2

I_{woman} = (50)(4.3^2)

I_{woman} = 924.5 kg m^2

so we will have

\omega = 2\pi (0.80) rad/s

so angular momentum is given as

L = (1017 + 924.5)(2\pi 0.80)

L = 9759 kg m^2/s
