The answer would be: average bond energies for hydrogen and oxygen is greater than the bond energies for water

In the exothermic reaction, the reaction will release energy to the system. Since energy can't be created, the energy made from the reaction would be the result of a bond that broken minus bond that made. Since the reaction is exothermic which the total energy would be plus, the bond broken must provide more energy needed for the bond made.
The equation for reaction that forms water would be: H2 + O2 = H2O
The bond broken in this reaction is H2 and O2 and their sum is greater than the bond made, which was the H2O bond.

Jessica has 12.7 moles of a compound for an experiment. How many particles of the compound does she have?
vlabodo [156]

The number of particles that are in 12.7 moles of compound that Jessica had is 7.65 x10^24 particles of compound ( answer E)

    Calculation

The number of particles are calculated using the Avogadro's Principle constant.

  • that is according  to  Avogadro's    1 moles =  6.02 x10^23 particles

             what about 12.7 moles  of  compound=   ?  particles\

   by use of  cross multiplication

  • number of particles  of compound=  [12.7  moles  x (6.02 x 10^23)]  /  1 mole  = 7.65 x 10^24  particles  of compound ( answer  E)

Calculate the pOH of a solution that contains 3.9 x 10-5 M H3O+ at 25°C.
exis [7]

Answer:

Option b. 9.59

Explanation:

First, let us calculate the pH. This is illustrated below:

[H3O+] = 3.9 x 10-5 M

pH = —Log [H3O+]

pH = —Log [3.9 x 10-5]

pH = 4.41

Recall: pH + pOH = 14

4.41 + pOH = 14

Collect like terms

pOH = 14 — 4.41

pOH = 9.59

Find a part of the article that describes signals that are sent within Diego’s body. Where does the signal come from, and how do
ycow [4]

Answer:

The sensory receptors send signals to Diego's brain cells. These signals are messages that help Diego figure out what to do next. As Diego thinks, more signals move from one brain cell to another.

A steam turbine is a device in which high-pressure steam enters the turbine and causes blades to spin. The spinning blades have
pav-90 [236]

The answer is Some of the heat used to make the steam is transformed into work as the steam pushes against the blades to make them turn. This also observes the law of conservation in thermodynamics. The kinetic energy in the steam helps push the blades and is converted to mechanical energy. Some of the energy is lost since it is never 100% efficient.
