Livor mortis refers to the bluish-purple discoloration (lividity) under the skin of the lower body parts due to gravitation of blood after death. ... Dark pinpoint spots (Tardieu spots) are seen when capillaries rupture due to increased gravitational pressure (e.g. in the legs of a hanged person)

Explanation:  Lividity is unnatural color  or discoloration of the skin after death. It starts within 20-30 minutes of death, but is not visible by human eye until two hours. Amount of reduced haemoglobin determines the intensity of color. Capillaries bursts because of increased gravity.The body parts  which are in contact with any object or ground are not affected by this because capillaries are compressed.

The pressure of a 609.64 gram sample of F2 in a 88.84 L container is measured to be 2770.96 torr. What is the temperature of thi
Oxana [17]

Answer : The temperature of the gas is, 245.9 K

Explanation :

To calculate the temperature of gas we are using ideal gas equation:

PV=nRT\\\\PV=\frac{w}{M}RT

where,

P = pressure of gas = 2770.96 torr = 3.646 atm

Conversion used : (1 atm = 760 torr)

V = volume of gas = 88.84 L

T = temperature of gas = ?

R = gas constant = 0.0821 L.atm/mole.K

w = mass of gas = 609.64 g

M = molar mass of F_2 gas = 38 g/mole

Now put all the given values in the ideal gas equation, we get:

(3.646atm)\times (88.84L)=\frac{609.64g}{38g/mole}\times (0.0821L.atm/mole.K)\times (T)

T=245.9K

Therefore, the temperature of the gas is, 245.9 K

If 35.50 cm3 of a NaOH solution are required for the complete neutralization of a 25.00cm3 sample of 0.200mol dm-3 H2SO4, what i
Morgarella [4.7K]
In this question, you are given the NaOH volume but asked for concentration.
Don't forget that for every 1 mol of NaOH there will be 1 mol OH- ion, but for every 1 mol of H2SO4 there will be 2 mol of H- ion.
To neutralize you need the same amount of OH- and H+, so the equation should be:

OH-= H+
<span>35.50cm3 * x*1= 25cm3* 0.2mol/dm3 *2
</span>x= 10/35.5 mol/dm3= 0.2816/dm3

1.What is the name of the compound CuCO3?. a. Copper (I) Carbonate. b. Copper (II) Carbonate. c. Copper Carbon Oxide . d. Copper
Studentka2010 [4]

1. Answer;

Copper (ii) carbonate.

The name of the compound CuCO3 is copper (ii) carbonate.

Explanation;

Cu is the chemical symbol for the copper and CO3 is the chemical symbol for the carbonate group and each one of them has valency of two. Therefore, a compound CuCO3 is formed.

2. Answer;

Yes

Ca2+ reacted with Na2S to form CaS and Na+

Explanation:

Calcium ions reacts with sodium sulfide to form calcium sulfide and sodium ions.

For example; a salt of calcium, calcium carbonate reacts with sodium sulfide to form sodium carbonate and calcium sulfide.

3. Answer;

NaCl and Ag+ do not form a product

Explanation;

The reaction between sodium chloride and silver metal will not take place. This is because silver (Ag) is less reactive than sodium metal and therefore cannot displace sodium from its salt. In other words, silver metal is lower in the reactivity series as compared to sodium metal which indicates sodium metal is more reactive than silver.

4. Answer;

Formation of a white precipitate ; this indicates that silver sulfide is insoluble in water.

Explanation;

When an aqueous solution containing Ag+ ions is added to aqueous solution of sodium sulfide (Na2S), there will be formation of white precipitate. Formation of white precipitate indicates that a reaction has taken place to form a water insoluble compound. The water insoluble compound occurs as a precipitate. The white precipitate is silver sulfide (Ag2S)

2 Ag+ (aq) + Na2S(aq) ----- Ag2S (s) + 2 Na+ (aq)

A sample of copper with a mass of 63.5g contains 6.02 x10^23 atoms calculate the mass of an average copper atom
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

The mass of an average copper atom is 1.0548\times 10^{-22}\ g

Explanation:

Given:

The total mass of copper atoms, m = 63.5\ g

Number of atoms, N=6.02\times 10^{23}

Now, we are asked to find the mass of 1 copper atom.

We use unitary method to find the mass of 1 copper atom.

Mass of N atoms = m

∴ Mass of 1 atom = \frac{m}{N}

Plug in 63.5 for 'm', 6.02\times 10^{23} for 'N' and simply.

Mass of 1 atom = \dfrac{63.5}{6.02\times 10^{23}}=1.0548\times 10^{-22}\ g

Therefore, the mass of an average copper atom is 1.0548\times 10^{-22}\ g
