Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of the car, m = 850 kg

Force applied, F = 800 N

Time, t = 30 s

Distance covered, d = 15 m

To find,

(a) work done

(b) Power

Solution,

(a) Let W is the work done. The product of force and displacement is called work done. Its expression is given by :

W=F\times d

W=800\ N\times 15\ m

W = 12000 J

(b) The work done divided by time taken is called power of an object. It is given by :

P=\dfrac{W}{t}

P=\dfrac{12000\ J}{30\ s}

P = 400 W

a) W=F*d=800*15=12000 J

b) P=W/t=12000/30=400 W

A point charge q1 = 4.50 nC is located on the x-axis at x = 1.95 m , and a second point charge q2 = -6.80 nC is on the y-axis at
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

Explanation:

One charge is situated at x = 1.95 m . Second charge is situated at y = 1.00 m

These two charges are situated outside sphere as it has radius of .365 m with center at origin. So charge inside sphere = zero.

Applying Gauss's theorem

Flux through spherical surface = charge inside sphere / ε₀

= 0 / ε₀

= 0 Ans .

A 7.5 nC point charge and a - 2.9 nC point charge are 3.2 cm apart. What is the electric field strength at the midpoint between
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

Net electric field, E_{net}=91406.24\ N/C

Explanation:

Given that,

Charge 1, q_1=7.5\ nC=7.5\times 10^{-9}\ C

Charge 2, q_2=-2.9\ nC=-2.9\times 10^{-9}\ C

distance, d = 3.2 cm = 0.032 m

Electric field due to charge 1 is given by :

E_1=\dfrac{kq_1}{r^2}

E_1=\dfrac{9\times 10^9\times 7.5\times 10^{-9}}{(0.032)^2}

E_1=65917.96\ N/C

Electric field due to charge 2 is given by :

E_2=\dfrac{kq_2}{r^2}

E_2=\dfrac{9\times 10^9\times 2.9\times 10^{-9}}{(0.032)^2}

E_2=25488.28\ N/C

The point charges have opposite charge. So, the net electric field is given by the sum of electric field due to both charges as :

E_{net}=E_1+E_2

E_{net}=65917.96+25488.28

E_{net}=91406.24\ N/C

So, the electric field strength at the midpoint between the two charges is 91406.24 N/C. Hence, this is the required solution.

In at least 150 words, discuss how Chang's use of personification, metaphor, or connotation express one his themes in "Garden of
Kay [80]
<span>Poet Kuangchi Chang did not remain in China long enough to be "re-educated." Following the Communist takeover he fled to the United States. His poem "Garden of My Childhood" describes China before the revolution as a peaceful, idyllic garden with a violent horde rapidly approaching. A vine, the wind, and the sea are each personified, and each beckons for him to run. It is not until "eons later," when he is "worlds away," that his "running is all done," and he finds himself at his destination: another garden, just like the one he had left behind.</span>

Determine the values of m and n when the following mass of the Earth is written in scientific notation: 5,970,000,000,000,000,00
yuradex [85]

Explanation:

Mass of the Earth is equal to,

m=5,970,000,000,000,000,000,000,000\ kg

Any number can be written in the form of scientific notation as :

N=m\times 10^n

m is the real number

n is any integer

Mass of the earth can be written in the form of scientific notation as :

m=5.97\times 10^{24}\ m

Here,

m = 5.97

n = 24

Hence, this is the required solution.
