Explanation & answer:

Given:

Fuel consumption, C = 22 L/h

Specific gravity = 0.8

output power, P  =  55 kW

heating value, H = 44,000 kJ/kg

Solution:

Calculate energy intake

E = C*P*H

= (22 L/h) / (3600 s/h) * (1000 mL/L) * (0.8 g/mL) * (44000 kJ/kg)

= (22/3600)*1000*0.8*44000 j/s

= 215111.1 j/s

Calculate output power

P = 55 kW

= 55000 j/s

Efficiency

= output / input

= P/E

=55000 / 215111.1

= 0.2557

= 25.6% to 1 decimal place.

a plane travels 204 km, northeast in 15.0 minutes. It also increases elevation by 1.6 km, upward in the same amount of time. Wha
mina [271]

Answer:

230 m/s northeast, 1.8 m/s up

Explanation:

204 kilometres = 204000 metres

15.0 minutes = 900 seconds

Velocity = Distance / Time

= 204000 / 900

= 230 m/s northeast (to 2 sf.)

1.6km = 1600 metres

Velocity = 1600 / 900

= 1.8 m/s up (to 2 sf.)

In this problem, you will analyze a system composed of two blocks, 1 and 2, of respective masses m1 and m2. To simplify the anal
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

a) p = m1 v1 + m2 v2 , b) dp / dt = m1 a1 + m2 a2 , c) It is equivalent to force

dp / dt = 0

Explanation:

In this problem we have two blocks and the system is formed by the two bodies.

Part A. Initially they ask us to find the moment of the whole system

    p = m1 v1 + m2 v2

Part B.

Find the derivative

     dp / dt = m1 dv1dt + m2 dv2 / dt

     dp / dt = m1 a1 + m2 a2

Part C.

Let's analyze the dimensions

     m a = [kg] [m / s2] = [N]

It is equivalent to force

Part d

Acceleration is due to a net force applied

Part e

The acceleration of block 1 is due to the force exerted by block 2 during the moment change

Part f

Force of block 1 on block 2

True f12 = m1a1        f21 = m2a2

Part g

By the law of action and reaction are equal magnitude F12 = f21

Part H

     dp / dt = 0

Isolated system F12 = F21 and the masses are constant. The total moment is only redistributed

An electron is at the origin. (a) Calculate the electric potential VA at point A, x 5 0.250 cm. (b) Calculate the electric poten
saw5 [17]

Answer:

a)  V_a = -5.7536 10⁺⁷ V , b) Vb = -1.92 10⁻⁷ V  c) the sign of the potential change

Explanation:

The electrical potential for a point charge

     V = k q / r

Where k is the Coulomb constant that you are worth 8.99 10⁹ N m² / C²

a) potential At point x = 0.250 cm = 0.250 10-2m

    V_a =  -8.99 10⁹ 1.6 10⁻¹⁹ /0.250 10⁻²

    V_a = -5.7536 10⁺⁷ V

b) point x = 0.750 cm = 0.750 10-2

    Vb = 8.99 10⁹ (-1.6 10⁻¹⁹) /0.750 10⁻²

    Vb = -1.92 10⁻⁷ V

potemcial difference

    ΔV = Vb- Va

    V_ba = (-5.7536 + 1.92) 10⁻⁷

    V_ba = -3.83 10⁻⁷ V

c) To know what would happen to a particle, let's use the relationship between the potential and the electric field

     ΔV = E d

The force on the particle is

     F = q₀ E

     F = q₀ ΔV / d

We see that the force on the particle depends on the sign of the burden of proof. Now the burden of proof is negative to pass between the two points you have to reverse the sign of the potential, bone that the value should be reversed

          V_ba = 0.83 10⁻⁷ V

A musician hits a drum with a drumstick. In three to four sentences, explain the collision forces between the drum and drumstick
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

Explanation:

In a collision, there is a force on both objects that causes an acceleration of both objects; the forces are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. When you hit a drum with a drumstick, there is a collision. The force both objects release causes the drumstick to bounce on the drum
